I'm looking for a one of policy to cover me for a track day at Spa next month. I have a 2008 M3 Coupe. I've had a couple of quotes and the cheapest I can get so far is £467.00!!! That's nearly what I'm paying for fully comp for the whole year! Lat year for my 911 it was £580 for 2 days cover. Who are you guys insured with? I know a lot of companies give a few track days with normal road cover, but for me only doing Spa each year, it wasn't practical to take this type of policy, hence my requirement for a one off.

Cheers!! :smt039

Quite a few of us on here (me included) are with C.C.I. http://www.competition-car-insurance.co.uk/ and they cover Spa  (as part of the annual cover ) as it's FIA approved .
Not 100% sure if they do individual TD caverage but it's worth asking them as they are a very helpful bunch

CCI wanted from me: £200+/ trackday without having a policy with them and £73/ trackday if insured with them, but wont let me take a policy out till I grow some more facial hair!

I took out cover in May with CCI for a one off trackday at Spa,i think it was £190.I have now taken out a standard road policy with them for £446 and they have given me 5 trackdays:thumbs:one of which can be in Europe.I think you will find a few guys on here have there insurance with CCI.;)

Cheers guys. The best quote so far is from Competition Car Insurance. It looks like they'll be getting my business. I guess for 40k of cover it's not too bad at £467.

I paid £539 fully comp this year. It may even work out better to cancel my current policy and go with CCI to gain the inclusion of track days. I'll ask the questions.

Cheers.

You could also try Everitt Boles for a single track cover:

Pace Ward and Richard Egger also do track cover.

Well worth checking out what you're being covered for. For example some policies only include damage as a result of an impact. So if you had an underbonnet issue and caught fire, total burnout, you'd get nothing. We joked that as soon as you see smoke, head for the armco ;-)

As a rule of thumb, TD premiums are usually 10% of the insured value, looks like its crept up a little bit since last time I spoke to them !
