My passenger side seatbelt clip has a felt (alcantara?) protector stuck on it but my drivers side seatbelt clip doesn't.
Tried the dealer who contacted BMW Germany to try and source me one but apparantly they are no longer available.
Anyone know where i could get hold of one or a complete seatbelt clip with protector fitted?
TIA.

Can the dealer not get you a whole belt clip? I had to buy one for my E36, it wasn't cheap. I know the CSL one might be the different kettle of fish, good luck with the hunt.
I wonder how it come off.

I wonder how it come off.It has more than lightly been replaced with a standard clip due to it not working. The bit of felt is stuck on quite well.

Loads of cars have these felt protectors. I am regularly in hired cars, predomenantly Vauxhalls, and all their cars have them. I know this because when I'm stuck in traffic. I pick them off!! Lol. Try Vauxhall, or go into a large car garage and accidentally pick one off!! Lol.

I think he wants Alcantara rather than 'felt'...

Those pieces are pretty simple to copy - I've done it a couple of times already. It's just a piece of Alcantara cut to the right shape and fabric glued on the seatbelt receptor.
Just buy some Alcantara and cut to size and glue - way cheaper than trying to find replacement sources.
It will look identical to what's in the CSL - if you don't believe me I can take a photo of one I made and one on my car - they look exactly the same.
