Having recently bought a CS after owning a standard M3, I really missed the cruise control on long journeys. After wading through the internet reading up about fitting cruise control to the CS and keeping an M-Track mode toggle, I am pleased to say it is 100% possible and you can keep your car looking totally standard!

You could set cruse at 120mph and try and do the ring without braking

Unless every journey of yours is a race track - why not?

Let's be honest here.... I know that 90% of you on here use the M3csl for every day duties so why this sort of questions for anyway.....

Its pointless in the UK with the amount of traffic and standard of driving ... the cars ive had with it on, lets be honest here - you set it and more often than not your breaking or needing to accelerate to get past things , who sits ever for more than a few mins at 70/80/90 with no input ... hmmmm dont think so

Agreed about the UK usage ;) but could be quite handy for the "Hum Drum" run to the Ring

TBH it gets silly at 140mph plus on motorways so i can understand the reasons for it not working beyond that speed.

Although I've only done it once I thought the roads and level of traffic was genuinely worse than the UK! :banghead: Maybe it was the time of day we travelled but cruise control would have been a complete waste of time on that trip for me! :banghead:

I'm now loving this thread about cruise control on a M3 CSL forum ..

As mentioned above but just to confirm from the said proper members

So what we need to add is cruise control for those times when you don't want to be in control ..
Cup holders yes the CSL needs those .. Arm rest .. Deeper carpet .. HK stereo .. Cheeky sunroof ( I do miss that actually )
Estate agent CV

And a autostyle carpet set with logo

Possibly the distant longing for a supercharger or some other daft tuning option that's not really any good other than for a magazine !

This is good news !!!

I have another 3 inquiries :
1. How to retrofit rear electic curtain
2. How to retrofit double windows as in 5 series (it makes too much noise)
3. How to convert it to diesel

:whistle::whistle::whistle::whistle::whistle::whis tle::whistle:

I was wondering what the smallest wheels are that would fit over OEM and AP's...

Yes, some great idea’s.
I also maybe also fit a cup holder, I can offset the extra weight by removing the radio, xenons and air con.

Who uses their radio when the engine sounds this good and it never gets warm up North any way :hahaha:

Cupholder would be handy actually, seem to recall a pic of a homemade one on here ;-)

A CF one would make a lovely christmas present I reckon..

dear JH1806
i've just bought a CS
(unfortunately not wonderful CSL, i've no sufficient money)
and me too, altough addicted to nordschleife, in love with cruise control to manage more than 1600km each time from my home to my 2nd home.

unfortunately i've no possibility to see the link on m3torque.co.uk because it seems to be down.

do someone has this guide on another link or on local storage ?

thx u all
i love CSL since 1st i saw in monza racetrack in 2005.
