So head has been sent off for some skimming, so when it's back and on car more tests to see if / what else so no nearer to knowing when it's back ..
Im spending a fortune running the truck :hahaha: 10mpg :119:

If it's that Silver one Daz posted up then I think it's Ford's 5.5 V8 Supercharged, F150 Lightning Daz? :bigcry: :smokin: :supz:
Anyway, on another note as I've been away what's happened with the CSL!? :(

What garage is the CSL at mate? Your usual?
10mpg - :shock: That's the same mpg that my CSL drops to on track days :hahaha:

Yep thats the one, sounds mental lol... hmm CSL lost power, made some very serious noises, and then the EML light came on, head off and away awaiting further information ...

I'm sure I saw a Ford Pickup F250 last weekend at a show I was at, bloody thing must have been 20ft long! :hahaha:

Why didn't they put a new head on if covered by warranty ?
They're still investigating the fault...
It's a black one after all - it'll probably need a new engine as that's normally the way with the 'dark side' :whistle: :hahaha:

Skimming? I wouldn't have thought BMW would skim a head. As said above, if done under warranty, why not a new head?

Dunno think they are seeing if that is the main only cause if so yes a new head ..

Fingers crossed it's something else on top of the head and you get a new engine!

Policy with any main M type engine component is to fit new parts , so skimming sounds a bit "unusual" to me. If swarf is found in ANY part of the engine, its an automatic new engine ... I know someone who had this done recently !!:birdman:
