Unfortunately the time has come where my CSL has to go. After getting married and buying a house, the arguments for and against have been weighed up too much in the "against".

The car needs new front brakes and discs (which are AP Racing Brakes) hence the reduced price I am looking for. The car is based in N Ireland also

46K Miles
AC Schnitzer Prep Exhaust
Full AP Racing Brake Kit (Front)
Silver Gray (of course)
2003 November
Air Con / Climate Control
SMG
4 New Contisport M3 Tyres
Serviced in April 2010
Price : 22,000 Stg

This is a sad day for me to arrive at this decision. If you are genuinely interested drop me a PM or are looking any further information

(Am not really much of a photographer)

*cough cough* too cheap *cough cough*

Good luck with the sale mate, I very much doubt that will hang about at that price. Best get some good photos up of her.

hmmmmm

makes it looks like something is wrong at that price,

new front discs and pads are around £800 and cars iof that mileage normally start around £26k

any bmw warranty or is there a full service history?

good luck with the sale:thumbs:

There is no warranty but I have the full BMW Service History. Maybe I went in a bit low but the circumstance of me living in south and UK reg doesn't help
There is a bit of kerbing on the alloys but nothing that can't be fixed (normal wear and tear)
If the car was going to be tracked, the back brakes will prob need done next year but they are ok at the minute..
Thats really it to be honest

IMHO, I think that it's priced just right considering no warranty, front brakes and that it's in Ireland.

Good luck with the sale

Good luck with the sale :thumbs:If he put a lapsed bmw warranty on it for £1000 and new brakes at £800,that still only makes £23800,its a good buy for somebody.;)

warranty only costs £150 (a month) so for a £1000 if a good condition car it would sell for £25-26k

hmmmmmmmmmmm again (bet Nick Johnson is on the phone tomorrow!)

I believe it is reasonably priced tbh, the APs are a good selling point but it certainly isnt under priced

Car looks well, I'd hate to have to be in a position of having to sell mine. Cracking car though.

Thanks for the heads up Paul

Left my house at 6:30AM
Flight from Stansted at 8:15AM and into Ireland.
Was booked on the 1:30PM ferry but that was cancelled, so mad dash to the docks for the earlier crossing we were moved to, made with just minutes to spare.
Back home in Essex at 10:00PM exactly.

Pretty pooped :-)

Today's mission was giving it a very thorough clean down so we can see what we're looking at. After a pressure rinse, two bilberry wheel cleans, foam pre-wash, zymol wash and dry, I can conclude that you live in a tarpit Brian ;-)

tricky to see from photos but lots of tar deposits.

So, nothing for it but to break out the petroleum distillates, or turtle wax as its called. Sadly 4 hours labour only gets you one side when doing by hand...

Next up the dreaded blue spotting on the glossy shadowline..

http://www.projectevo.co.uk/gallery2/d/787-1/008.JPG

really needs some compound and a machine polisher, but turtle wax is not bad...

At the end of the day then, just done one side (no bumpers/boot/bonnet!)

Although they look quite clean in this pic the wheels are a lost cause. Plenty of blistering, paint lift, kerbing etc. Off for a refurb next week I reckon. Worth keeping a mint set even though I'll be sticking on TD.

Hope to tackle those brakes soon and avoid driving with epileptic wrists :)

a rewarding day :)

Brakes are fixed! Front and rear CSL Cup Alcons are on. Ignore the wheels - originals are at refurb...

Once a year mate! It'll be painted at christmas, like always. Sadly as the year goes on it gets worse and worse...

Amazing that me alone can get it in such a state!!

If you fancy coming down to lend a hand this year you'd be very welcome! I extend this offer to friends every time, but this will be the eleventh occasion my pal Jim and I will have done it alone.....

Congrats Lee, pleased for you mate, you'd have got around the car removing tar a lot quicker with a clay bar! ;)

Put some pics up of the car on the ground then, I kinda like them with M3 wheels!
