Evening all,
Just joined this forum as im thinking about upgrading to a CSL in the near future:thumbs:
Thought i wanted a Porsche 911 but not feeling the interiors or the attempt at rear seats:bigcry:
At present i own an imola red E46 M3 which i love, but just getting a little bored with, and feel the CSL is the next step up to where i want to be as i know where iam with the E46's with regards to running costs and faults.
After seing a Sapphire black CSL just down the road from me, its that colour i would be after with a/c and radio.
I own some other cars, one being a 40k Escort RS Cosworth on a K plate, the other being a K plate Vauxhall Nova mapped by Mark Shead at M.A.Developments with around 300hp on Autronic SM2.
Here are some pics,

Hi Dan! :gayfight:
How many more of you homo's with Escort Cosworth's are going to come over this week!! Finally seen the light eh!? :blalalala: :bigcry: :bigcry:
If Andy (rsnissan) show's his face that's 3 of you in two days! :hahaha:
I assume you got my text earlier gay boy, when my holiday is over in a fortnight or so's time I'll pop up with the CSL and you can see what all the fuss is about! ;)

Loving all three cars mate, I bet that Nova SHIFTS though.
I suppose you must have some sleepless nights with that Cossie too, don't know if I could live with one but cracking car and loving the wheels.
Welcome to the Forum and good luck in your hunt, but I have to say it, you're going for the wrong colour mate! (innocent banter on here regarding the 2 colours)

Love it, wrong colour, i think im revolting, as my dad has had BMW's for along time and ALWAYS has silver:hahaha:.
I just find there are too many silver cars about at the moment, i know the CSL is silver/grey, but i just fancy a change and more of a contrast, although i know black will be a bitch to keep clean (had a black nova gte back in the day!).
The nova is fun/dangerous, spins its wheels all the way through 3rd in the dry and makes my M3 look like its stood still in a straight line, but does not go round corners:bigcry:. Had it since i was 19, but now at 27 i feel abit of a chav driving it:bigcry:
Escort cosworth I bought, drove for 20 mins and didnt like the lag on the T34 so just left it in the garage for the last 4 years. But i wanted one since i was 12 years old so i would never sell it as its my dream car.

Welcome Dan! you could have at least cleaned those cars before posting the pics:blalalala:

Looking at how big and how Fwd that engine in the Nova is, I was thinking it didn't do corners right enough. But can imagine it can do a 1/4 mile is a good time.
You're in a good position to be able to keep a Escort Cosworth in the Garage, good man. I like it, ;-)
Just remember though, Black CSL's don't highlight the carbon fibre parts as well as the SG one therefore are slower! haaahaa

Hi Dan. Welcome. I have my own problem with tuned tin can FWD's. For my sins I was R5 GTT since 19 years old! Haven't driven it in 5+ years but still have it stored away and can't bring myself to sell it.
CSL is a different world to M3. You won't regret it.:smokin:

Dan was saying this and i makes sense, but ive also seen a sapphire black car up close and the carbon still looks great, just not as much of a contrast as with s/g. I will have a nosey round Dans car in a few weeks and see what i think of s/g.
As for colours.. c'mon, i already have a RED M3, everbody knows no matter what trim the car, RED is always the fastest so the CSL will be alot slower than my M:bigcry::bigcry:

Another victim of going to far? stage 3 and leave it:bigcry:
My advice would be to get rid mate, you either keep the car, always spending on it, worrying about it/when will it break etc, or buy an M3 or CSL jump in and away you go. I know which id rather:beer:

I know mate, time is the problem. Might really have a proper sort out over the Winter and get it taxed/MOT'd again. It's still in absolutely fab, mint condition as well. I keep it dry stored! Got my rebuilt, steel bottom end and EFI'd engine ready to drop in. Should be fun with 750kgs and 20psi.:smokin: Must put the cage in though or I'll die in a car that'll crash like it's made of tin foil!

Yes mods, please create a special section where Escorts, Renaults, Daewoo and Kias can all be discussed in great detail ( and then please set my prefs so I can't see it);)

That section was only invented to discuss your PURPLE front door Shim.:hahaha:
Shim, you can't fully value this life until you've lived it on the edge driving an overpowered fwd tin box.:119: And your old Chamade doesn't count.;)

So my N reg Mini Clubman 1275GT with r/cams, twin 1.5 inch Webers, BB intake and outlet manifolds, RC40 exhaust and full fibreglass deathtrap front end don't count then?
Got it finished one summer after a winter of nights working in the garage, didn't have the patience to fit the seat so sat on my work stool and as I put my foot down at a nearby level crossing I fell back on the stool at about 30mph and couldn't reach the brake.
Don't give mr the Johnnny Dangerous speech:)

Yeah, I forgot you told me about that car before. Fair enough Shim. I hate to think of the antics I got up to driving the 5 back in the day! Never once crashed it but boy it was close on several occasions. I never really appreciated the danger back then.:bigcry: I did 160,000 miles + in my white 5 that I had almost new in 1992. Most of those miles it was tuned to anywhere from 170-220 bhp.:hahaha:
