Right a few of us are heading out October 1st - 4th as the weekend is the last full open weekend of the year for TF, full days Sat & Sun, last TF one im doing as intend to book on the pre arranged private days from 2011 onwards.

Just wondered if anyone else is already going, or fancies joining (Alex) :whistle:

Yes mate. :beer: I'm already booked for a TD @Spa on the Monday. Only slight issue is I have a family birthday party on 2nd, so I'll be setting off after that and arriving late that day. I'll have a day with you boys on 'Ring on Sunday, beers/steak and head off to Spa Monday morning. Then home on Tuesday.:smokin:

Ring only for me too, as heading back, and only just swerved this one as weekend before doing Portugal with the boys golfing and beer, and out to Barca on the 5th with work so a hectic few weeks, and none with the missis :hahaha:

I'd say you'd need to stop 5 times at an average of say 95mph=15mpg which for 450ish miles works out to about 140 litres into a 30 litre tank :hahaha:

need to sort out the and like tge occassional trackday continue to do what you are doing. If however you feel the need to improve more than you have you need to get into a prepped lotus or suchlike from someone like Sean or Stephen and really try to get on the pace putting aside any worries about the car or the other drivers in the track. If a day after that you still enjoy and hotel tomorrow also.

When I return (hopefully with everything intact!) to Scotland after the ring and Spa trip I will be parting with my CSL to fund a new car. I shall apologise once again as my wife was not in the best of moods in fact to be precise a filthy mood and refused point blank to interact with my fellow 'nerds'.

I should add that I do work out of country a lot so we do not spend much time together and she wants to monopolise me. Goodness knows why.

Hopefully I can tie in with some of you again another time. I still have not done any UK track days but have now been four or five times to the Neurburgring and am just finding my feet.

Was a great weekend, and good to meet some new people on here again... although the track was FULL of numpties :banghead:

Think it closed more than it was open this weekend, and at times was like the M25 around 5.30 ... utter madness

3 Hours drive to the porsche factory on Sat was awesome - 2 hours of it on unrestricted autobhans :smokin:, sitting cruising at 150/60/70 legally and on perfect roads, with like minded germans who understand how to drive..

Matt, if you were to time yourself what sort of BTG do you do

I don't time my self Shimmy (IMHO it's simply a recipe for disaster chasing your own stop watch, especially in the CSL ) however I've had a few passengers time me (completely unaware to me at the time) who later informed me of my efforts. The best I've managed this year was 8:15 (on the DZ02s) on couple of occasions, with some traffic. This weekend gone I was getting regular high 8 min. including a couple of cheeky 8:30s, right on the limit :smt087 of the before mentioned GY F1 road tyre.
I know these are not the BEST CSL/Ring times but if I get down to bang-on 8 minute Ring laps next year, I'll be a VERY happy man :thumbs:

I think the 'break even' point for JK is about 65-69 laps (Rob & I tried to work this one out once) From then on they are FREE :thumbs:

I think that is T$'s full PHAT set up for FAST :whistle: Ring laps :supz: 9.5J at the front and 10J at the back, from what I recall.
