firstly i'd like to say hello, i am new to this forum.

secondly i am toying with the idea and buying an interesting track day come road car for occassional use that won't lose me a fortune, thus the CSL is on my list. i have had several GT3's (996 mk2, 996 rs, 997 rs gen1) and much as i love them to death, i fancy a change. so i wonder if any of you chaps know of an honest, low miles, original car (ap racing brakes would be a bonus though, but no other mods) thats available at the moment. i would imagine quite a few of these cars have seen a barrier or two, and i'd like to try and avoid buying something not as described.

thirdly, with the standard exhaust whats the approx db for 3/4 revs, ie standard track day stactic noise test.

many thanks in advance.

Good man

IIRC, the standard exhaust is around 90-92dB for noise tests.

I have had a few set-ups:

Full Milltek inc.race cats - approx 97dB
Milltek from OEM cat back - 95dB
OEM + Supersprint race back box - 97dB
OEM cat + Supersprint race + unresonated mid pipe - 100dB

tnks feedback re noise level - perhaps it sounds odd, but as far as i'm concerned the quieter the better, as years of boardline passes and the odd fail on noisy 105 db days with GT3's, i am sick of that apprehension when queueing for the noise test.

anyone know the CSL with 27,800miles for sale @ Munich Legends ?
