Right,

Basically, i'm driving the CSL too much for sh!t things like tramping up and down the M3 / M4 / M40 for work. It's putting miles on the CSL and no fun. Even less fun is the £80 it's now costing to fill it up every fortnight, when i get 21p a mile....

So, need an economical car. Thinking about a VW Golf M4 GT TDI 25th Anniversary. But, living in London insurance is rubbish given i can only use my no claims on one car.

Anyone got any thoughts on ways around it? Do any of the specialist insurers like Haggerty, CCI, Richard Egar etc offer competitive ways to deal with it?

(Currently no missus, so that's not an option!)

Admiral multi-car policy ?

Missus and I had this until I went to CCI dark side as I needed track cover and we had to break it. Admiral very competitive on CSL's period.....give em a call matey..

I have Admiral multi-car for my daily E36 and the other half's Toyota - saved over £100 by doing so.

I insure the CSL with CCI separately as it's easier that way (being modified for track).

As above, Admirall multi car is the way to go (unless you have track requirements/mods).

call pace ward - I have a fleet policy with them that works out very well, especially when you get more cars! It worked out substantially cheaper than using cci for mine & the wifes cars.

They also do track day cover - if anything lower premiums than cci. I have insured my csl for every track day that I have done in it.

Cheers

you can get 2 cars on a fleet policy ?
I never thought of putting mine and the wife's cars on one policy.

I have a fleet policy at work but only use it for the works transport and not the private cars, I wouldn't put them on works policy but would consider a separate policy ...

Interesting - PW wouldn't quote me including track days and I went through their main man on PGT !
