I have found demon tweeks, which sell 2 types. http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/Motorsport/Wheels_&_Tyres/Wheel_&_Tyre_Accessories/Hamilton_Tyre_Cases/1789/6387

The more heavy duty one looks awesome, and has a handle to carry the wheel. If it can support the weight??

Does anyone know anywhere else i can get tyre covers?

As Derek has said Simpsons do pretty good ones.
Bought mine from there and they are spot on for the back seat.

TSL Motorsport (bought via eBay) - with handles - seem to do the trick - they were c.25 quid.

Blimey - how far do you intend carrying them? I normally lift them out of the car and shove them in a pit garage some 10 yards away - never needed a handle...

The Simpson ones are soft outside as well as in - rather crucial when not wanting to scratch the rear CF door cards.

I have to carry them for about 20 metres, to the guys garage at the ring! That killed my back last time. I see what you mean about the outside being soft though. Maybe I should take my rear cards out aswell, as i have taken the back seats out already. Would probably make more room for the wheels.

Just out of interest are your back seats out permanently or do you just remove them for track days?

Just for trackdays. Helps with carrying the track wheels, lose about 25kgs, and you get a very racey exhaust noise!

I cant get wheels in from the front anymore, as the bucket seats do not recline forward. So everything has to shoved in from the boot. Back killer!!:bigcry: Thats why a handle on the tyre cover, will help pulling them out.

Bend the knee's when lifting, that'll sort the old back out! :hahaha: ;)

I'm quite tempted to remove most of the interior for a weight loss but just cant bring myself to do it as it's not just a pure track car (Glendog will tell you it's not a road car either! :bigcry: :bigcry:).

Are you front seats re-trimmed Pole Positions and are they lighter than the standard CSL front seats?

Thats why i put everything back in again. Cannot live with the noise too much on the road. Only takes 5 minutes to take it out.
The pole positions weigh 15 kgs each, with the mounts. Not sure how mucht he CSL seats weigh, about 20kgs?
Just the middle part is retrimmed to imola red leather.

Extreme weight saving! :supz: It does sound nice when you're giving it some. But you also feel something is broke sometimes, because you can hear everything that goes on under the car. Even worse, when i swap from road tyres to semi slicks.

The normal M3s, have actually got sound deadoning under the back seat. Yours is just metal.

Do you guys think its ok to take so much out of the rear? People keep saying it messes up the balance of the car :smt108

That's the final step that will be done to mine at some point in the next year ;)

My car at the moment resembles Nathan's photos little but i still have the rear door cards and parcel shelf in.

As Baris says, you can hear everything underneath the car - every creak, thunk and tinkle! When the Cup tyres are on it's worse, but the sound from the unresonated Supersprint is awesome and makes you giggle like a child :smt055 :hahaha:

I got the Tire Tote heavy duty ones shown on Demontweaks from the US complete with handles. The handles are definatley a must to ease transportation. You can then carry two at a time to and from the car without having to put the bags down on the ground and getting them wet. It meant that I could take them into the room at Am Tiergarten easily and not worry about compalints.
