My wife wants to book me a track day at brands, but its the evening session. Its for our anniversary, so she will go to the Spa round the corner, and il go to the brands
Although, i would rather go to Spa, and she can do whatever, in belgium, but hey cant complain with the little one on the way :hahaha:
Has anyone got a SS lightweight race exhaust with 100 cell cats on their car, and has past the sound test at brands, evening preferably?

Never done brands but that set up passes Bedford which I believe is as or more strict.

I think Rich (Mole) has just the SS Race lightweight back box with stock cats
I have SS 100 cell cats, Miltek stainless steel middle and standard CSL back box (not for long ;) ) and my last reading @ Brands evening session was 89 dB

Just make sure it's fully warmed up before you get it tested - if need be take it out onto the main road and give it a good run before getting it noise tested - don't switch the engine off in between.

I never Rev to 6k! ;) The last time I was at Brands me and fasteddie (Eric) went to noise test, he listened to Eric's car and then waved me through without even bothering with it, he just asked me if mine was the same and I said yes! :hahaha:

Wtf!?!? At 6k rpm? Could the flow of air through the csl airbox make the exhaust quieter ?
As said, I have had to rev the crap out of it, to warm the exhaust up usually, when I have failed.

Standard cats + SS lightweight was 94db at Brands last time I was checked, although I tend to not quite rev to what they ask for....
