And nice smooth driving Curly, not like your normal aggresive self;)
I know conditions werent perfect but how do you think the Gayman S would stand up against your old CSL at Spa?

Its early days yet but I would say the my unmodified Cayman with 888 tyres would be about 2 seconds a lap slower around Spa than a standard CSL on cups. The cayman seems quicker out of slow corners and got a slightly stronger mid range but the CSL is stronger top end, gear changes are smoother and slightly quciker on the cayman but I kinda like the CSL harder down changes which makes it feel more like a race car, the cayman brakes seem stronger than the stock csl.
i would say the csl feels better in the faster corners but i'm only running 0.5 front camber and .1 rear, but at the ring the csl would eat the cayman its not keen on the bumps

GO Stig GO;)
I had a gtr doing the same at oulton, slowing me up through the corners then gunning it on the straight:banghead:. I passed him on the outside through druids the bellend:smokin:.
Seems like a good car yours John.
I would imagine with some decent suspension it would be very close to a CSL, looking at your pics it seems to roll a bit.

... the cayman brakes seem stronger than the stock csl.
I'd say they don't just seem stronger ... they are much, much stronger. Day & night  So good in fact, I had to bolt them onto my CSL
Which brake pads are U running in your Porker ?

I think the discs and the calipers are smaller than the ones you have got on your CSL - 4pots front and rear, disc 318 mm front 299mm rear and with some perfromance friction pads in but they are not in the same league as AP's and Alcon
Matt I didnt realise we were racing at the Ring !!!!! :hahaha: but sorry to break you heart but I had a passenger with me who asked me to show him the lines around the ring, you were going well mate did you get under ten mins ? ;)

No need to be sorry m8, I too had a passenger with me in the car to whom I was showing the lines, albeit at a faster pace ( Hey Rich :smt103 )
Re: the brakes I'm running on my CSL consist of the standard CSL 345 mm floating discs with 2008 Porsche Cayman S front 4 pot Brembos, so these should be same as yours surely :smt017

Not sure but the biggist disc for the front on a cayman is 318mm don't know if a 345mm disc would work and mine arn't floating one's:smt017yeah Matt I can vividly remember the lap at the Ring was busy chatting at the time I thought I came up behind you? Re: the brakes... all I'm saying is my callipers are the same as yours as they came off an '08 Cayman S... discs are of course not the same and I doubt you can retro fit these onto your Porker... or have the need to  It's my unique "ass about the face" way of complimanting Porsche's excellent standard brakes
