Only seems to happen on right hand bends, and when something gets too hot in the car.
Completely forgot about it, till i watched this video. Never happened on the road, but then again i never push it that hard on the road.
Starts after the first lap

only thing ive had when cornering is a dodgy wheel bearing but felt that faintly thru the steering as well as the noise on cornering - dont think it was temp related either!

My guess would be ... steering rack

Try going round a roundabout quickly, if it happens then gently pull the handbrake on (tiny amount all you're trying to do is take up the slack). If it goes away then it's the rear handbrake shoes.

Must be hard to tell with the crash helmet on . Having watched the video, it sounds to me like the front passenger (near side) wheel bearing is worn, as the noise is most prominent when the full body weight is on that corner. Not at all uncommon on theses cars needing wheel bearings... looking through my CSLs history file, my front wheel bearings were done under warranty @ 39 000 when the car was just 3 years old. Just my 2 pence worth but I hope it may help.

My fronts were done at 60k miles (but then I am more sympathetic to my car than Matt)

Put in on a hoist and check if your rear end has started cracking up.
