Guys,

I bought a set of E46 M3 18" wheels (all rears) with slicks (adv in pistonheads) which I am looking forward to use in Spa.
Logistics (shipping them over to CH) is another issue...

Instead of shipping them from UK to Switzerland (paying shipment costs + import taxes) I was wondering whether someone could help transporting them from UK to the Ring (where I will pick them up).
Shimmy kindly offered to take 2 of them in his car and I want to thank him for his help.

Is there someone else that has space in his car and would like to help transporting the other 2 wheels from Shimmy's house to the Ring ?

The 2 guys that will help (Shimmy is the 1st) will get 60 euros each, as a thank-you present; anyhow I would spend this money or even more for shipping them here.

Thank you please

I'd love to help you m8 but I'll be bringing my second set of the same 9J X4 18" rears with me as per last time :smt112 so no room for any more of the same ... actually, not much room for anything else in my CSL Van :hahaha:

I'll have room but again don't live near shimmy really. If he is coming on Sunday to Dunsfold and can bring 2 then, I can bring them along no problem. :thumbs:Let me know!

Also very happy to help Alex but like everyone else I live as far away as possible from Shimmy (read what you will into that! :blalalala: ;)). If Mole doesn't have space I do. I don't bother with all that carrying wheels routine any more.

I'm coming out on Friday so could collect somewhere on route anywhere along the M25 - M20.

Latest update as of yesterday, Murketts are still waiting for a response from the Fatherland... it will mean that I may end up taxing the fooker for about 3 days in May:bigcry:... or just take a chance on them not noticing at the Ring, my mate Bert there will turn a blind eye !:hahaha:.
Have SORN it at the moment, Murketts need to MOT it, but cant until it runs, and until its MOTed... I cant tax it !:banghead:

I've tried it and U can't :bigcry: ... not when they have tyres on and they are the 9J rear, anyway... one of the rear seats will need to be folded down

It doesn't make any different if they are 18" or 19" the rolling diameter of the tyres are the same. ;)

It's the 9J width of the rear wheels that's a problem... I couldn't put one on top of the other, they are too FAT :bigcry:

honestly before i had the cross brace of course but you put one in the boot and insert the other from the car and shut the back seats

hurt my back doing it but it is do-able but a bit of 'jamming it in' has to take place

I thought as much  U brute ;) :hahaha:
BTW, wouldn't be easier to fold the back seat down, put both wheels through the boot opening, then close the seat in "jamming it" fashion ?

I can fit 4 wheels upright on the back seats, so If I can get 2 wheels in the boot then no probs.

Who needs luggage anyway? lol

Oh and you can fit a jack/4 wheels/ luggage in a mini one :-D
