Sorry if this has been answered before... but

What is the physical difference between the M3 SMG and CSL SMG.

It is just a question of them having a different ECU / software?

Pretty much so mate, physically the same manual box as in normal manual m3 too.

Although IIRC 2005 onwards m3 smg use same ecu as the csl.
