Are any fellow Irish CSL owners doing this track day on Monday or are all your cars parked down at the 'ring..

Hopefully it will be dry as it's my first time out in the new car and I'm used to 4WD pulling me out of trouble!

Regards
Niall

Be careful out there Niall! Can be some dodgy driving at the open days apparently!

The VIP day is on the following Saturday - you should pop along to it.

You have to register for the VIP days, and they say you have to have a CLEAN licence !! email this guy for a form ibeatty@mondellopark.ie (ibeatty@mondellopark.ie)

I did an open day last year and it was well marshalled and with good drivers. Was on one a few years ago that had nothing but muppets so they black flagged a few of them thank God. I'll play it by ear on Monday. Any messing and I'm off home, don't want to hurt the new toy!

It's a pity they moved the VIP days to the weekends as I can't get off (domestic chores! ;)) to attend them. I much preferred when they were on midweek.

@ Duncan
I'm not sure that they really enforce that.. I've been registed for them for a while but not actually done that many.

Yip that's me :smt077
I only did the morning but that was enough as we spent plenty of time out on track. The car was superb! Well balanced with amazing front end turn in and grip (-3 degrees front & -1.5 out back). One or two muppets in NCT chasers looking for a CSL scalp that I let off as I wasn't chancing my new (expensive) toy, on my first day out. The traction control 1/2 off was great but fully off needs a lot more care and attention than I'm used to.. Overall I'm well happy and can't wait to get back out!

Niall

PS Where did you get the pic? :prayer: cool!

Glad you had fun! I'm out at the VIP day on the 15th, can't wait. First Track day of the year. We had a day booked on the National for this friday but had to cancel due to lack of numbers.

Excellent, you'll have to throw up some more pics of that car of yours and come along to a few trackdays/meets :smokin:

I found a video of the poor guy who wiped out his E30 after I passed him out and he tried to stay with us..

That looked like a puncture or suspension failure to me rather than operator error !
