BMW in Germany reckon it is my Actuator which is faulty and the cost is 2400 euro. My car has just covered 50,000 miles
Has any one had a failed Actuator and how much did it cost ?

Bugger ! :119: Is that 2400 Euro all in, fitted & fixed or just for the part ? You might want to consider getting a quote from a UK BMW Main Stealer or a decent Indy.

I think that's all in , just e-mailed them to make sure it includes the VAT.
I'm fooked because I got a trackday booked at the Ring on Monday with flights and euro tunnel all paid for. so I stand to lose £600.00
I could get it cheaper in England but then I would have the cost of shipping the car over here.

Not that it will make you feel any better mate, but tell Marc to collect you from Koln Airport on Saturday afters, and he can have the job !.
1 - Trailer car home €800, lost TD €500, lost tunnel fare €50, car at home not repaired, loss €1,350.
2 - Repair in the Fatherland €2,400, TD with the boys, beers, banter and birds afterwards ...priceless ...for anything else ..borrow the Burrells Mastercard !! car at home repaired.
Loss €2,400. Difference €1,050, Architects hourly rate say €80 ??, 1050/80 = 13 hours, fook it mate you will have to do a 4 1/2 day week instead of your usual 3 to pay it off !"

I see you're keeping the Murketts boys busy. :hahaha: Seems more and more E46 M3s are having the same Vanos issues as the E36 M3 EVOs  Mine had the whole Vanos system changed under warranty @ 59K miles, about 18 months ago @ BMW Park Lane in London.

I noticed it noisy on a recent "spirited drive", so called it a day at lunch time.;)
Need the fucking thing back now, got to fit suspension, brakes, bushes, seats and a geo before next friday. Not enough hours in the day.
