But heard on another forum that potentially they are doing a fitment for the E46, awesome bit of kit these are, heard it on the new M3, thorney's race car, and it's awesome..

I'm guessing closer to five big ones. Full bike exhausts are £1500 and there is alot more titanium and work.

Interesting ... would say from a business or sales perspective it's more or an opportunity when the car is older, as later down the track is when the toys start getting put on the cars, not when there brand new ..

To be honest with you, that's a reason why I am not rushing to buy the SS backbox.
I am hoping there will be some momentum from the E46 buying community and akrapovic will produce some titanium noise solutions.

If we make a 'group buy' maybe we could attract their attention.

I have a friend of mine works in a company that do a lot of work with Akrapovic. He has been asking them to develop a Ti system for e46 for a while. They have said that, while they do not rule out the possibility of creating a solution, for the time being they are very busy with developing solutions for newer cars. They added that there simply isn't enough immediate demand to develop a solution for the e46 for the time being. Perhaps once they find some free time we can expect something!

I'm sure that Marcus is still selling the exhausts.
As i remember right some guys said it's to expensive or they just wanted parts.
The weekend i've meet Rob and Dazza (they just started to the Porsche Museum) i've meet Marcus to take a look at the exhaust and we took some laps on the Ring in his CSL with the Titanium-Exhaust.
I realy like the exhaust and it looks perfect. :thumbs:

Alex if you would look the akra system you should know why it is not good, you must see where the lamda and the katsystem is working, this is unbelievable...( first comes lamda 1 than lamda 2 and alfter them comes the kat, ha ha, realy good....)
And that is also the reason why you must buy the electronic box to erase the faults in the system....
The kats are broken after 1,5 year....

Marcus your contribution in this forum is trying to sell your exhausts.
There is something genuinely wrong with that.

I suppose you don't know that the akra for the M3 E92 is the best exhaust and is making the more HP than any other product in the market.
I am sure the system for the M3 E46 will be something similar, top quality and best performance.

Can you explain how you designed the system for the M3 E46 ?
Did you use some simulation programm for simulating the gas flow or did you use rule of thumb ?

It isn't as if Akra make the cats, I assume they use HJS ones like everyone else?

Didn't realise they had both sensors in front of the cat though, that seems weird. Can be turned off in map anyway I assume so no issue?

Well I have some connections...
I know 3 M3 E92s in Greece that saw a big difference with the akrapovic exhaust. I can recall that the increase was 20HP. That's not so bad for an exhaust, especially when it's much lighter.

I hope you know that the M3 E92 GT4 has an akrapovic exhaust.


As for the positions of the lamda sensors, the M3 E92 has pre-cats which get deleted with the akrapovic.
As when you de-cat a BMW, you can put some bungs to get the lamda sensor out...

What do the GTS and GT4, I know, do not worry about it! The GT4 was developed prior to the GTS, and believe me the Akra is not the best thing there is!
But Alex, as I'm concerned you can put 10 units set in the garage, or under any car that you have 2 building under!
I do not care!
And I read very carefully, and I do not take my knowledge from some advertising brochures!

That was my honest opinion, and i didnt start!
My opinion is that the exhaust is not as good as they say! Thats it!
I had always akra on my bikes, and they where good, but specialy on the M3 E92 is not like they say! That is it!!!
