View Full Version : One thing you could change/add to the csl?

After a few longer motorway journies recently in the csl, I kept thinking about how cruise control would be great.

Esp with the traffic on the road, not much chance to open the taps on the motorways.

What would you guys add/change on your csl:smokin:

Front seats that recline so I can get the babies in easier would be my only change. At the moment I have to put baby 1 in baby 2's seat, clamber in, move baby 1 into his rear facing seat then can put baby 2 in her seat although her seat is now front facing so it is a lot easier. Once he is in a front facing seat will be even more easier, but a couple of months to go before that.

Another answer is just to leave the kids at home ;)

apart from a more modern fix to the rear trailing arm issue I'd say I'd like a centre seat at the back and a centre seat belt. I have three kids, so currently the wife would have to take the bus, some might say that is a reason to keep things as they are, and they are right, move along there is nothing to see here..

The fuel consumption !!:bigcry:

Huh? Fuel usage on the CSL is dare i say it pretty 'frugal' for a 360bhp car - 30mpg on motorway runs! :smt102

I barely got that from my 197bhp Civic Type R, and certainly got nowhere near that on my 276bhp Evo VI :hahaha:

Palmer XKR & 911 JP3 are LPG converted. Government contributing to the install & little/no loss in power but slight increase in weight. Hmm..

Cage, easily do able, Custom Cages are superb, I've seen their work up close and on some TA cars! :)

Larger shift paddles are £80 ;)

I know someone who will make Carbon doors prob for around 1k each, they would probably weigh around 4-6kg bare! :smokin:

Brakes you could do, not sure about the window panel! :hahaha:
