Hi, is anyone using coilover/after market suspension on their car? If so, what type, and what's your opinion of it? Much better or so so? Looking at buying suspension of some description over the next week, so information will be appreciated. I have found a reasonably priced Koni package, (lowered springs and adjustable shocks), old school I know, but a good reputable company and 3 year warranty so must be good quality! I like the idea of coil overs, but don't think I would really use them to their potential, i.e. messing around with ride height and rebound etc etc! I don't find the standard stuff all that bad if you have a bit of bottle, but definately think the car could be doing with stiffening up a little! Was gonna stick some viagra in the tank, but someone told me this doesn't work!!! :hahaha: Thanks in advance. Jim.

yes, I'm on Bilsteins PSS10 B16 series, I'm very happy with the set up, the car is really different, and with PSS you can ajust them damm fast to have then as soft as original for nasty roads or in a "click" for trackday....

a full Set up in PSS PSS10 B16 coilover was 1180£ at my local dealer in dec 2007

justs after set up... of the coilover.... and brakes..

the funny part is the sticker on them:

"tested and approuved on the Nurburgring Nordschleife"

Nice looking piece of kit! PSS10, that's obviously the follow on from the PSS9? I can get the PSS9 kit for roughly £900 from Euro through my mates garage, did consider that. Is the car a lot stiffer in the corners then, as I am primarily using the car as a track toy? This is another reason that I am not too fussed about adjusting for road/track use, hence the "old style" Koni, one setting does all, sort of thing might do me!

well the PSS10 is the update from the last version as the PSS9

the PSS9 should be replaced since 2008 by the PSS10 on the catalogue, they are going thru and selling the PSS9 stock, m dealer proposed me the PSS9 around 900£ Too

in position 10 they are already a little harder then the Original Csl set up.... for road I use 8 and 7 position for flat track I'm on 4/3 for the ring 6/5 and under 3 it's just a piece of wood, it's simply.... No suspension feeling....

for a road and track use, Kw V3 or PSS are good option... for only track, I would get a specific Intrax or Olhins setup, but it's 3 times the price of a PSS10 setup

O.K. So junked the idea of the old school Koni springs/shocks. Bought a full set of KW Clubsport coilovers!! Thought, sod it, if I am gonna do it, do it right!! Having them fitted tonight, although I won't be driving the car till next week, so I'll keep you all posted!! Can anyone recommend anywhere in the Glasgow area for a geometery set up? I was gonna go to Kenny Brown in Hillington, any other suggestions??
