Anyone running the Cup + variety? Or should they be avoided?
Am about to buy a set.

Pretty good tyre but not as good as std cups, bit more day to day and not as grippy as cups... depends what you want them for I guess ;)

Cup+ are basically PS2 rubber with a cup tread pattern (with wider rain strips)..

Maybe the mods should sticky something about the CUP and CUP+ differences - I swear this question comes up every single week!!
I say stick to the CUPs if you can - the CUP+ is a step up from the Pilot Sport variety, but not quite the CUP performance, except in the rain :hahaha:

Perfect for our weather then :bigcry:

So just to check...
Pilot Sport Cup = Dry and Warm use. Not for cold or wet use ( soft compound )
Pilot Sport Cup + = Dry and tread pattern means use in cold and caution in water / standing water. Compound is former PS2 and this should last longer than CUP above)
Pilot Sport 3 = Dry and improved wet use.
Pilot Sport 2 = Dry and wet use.

Well sort of but I was on Cups all day yesterday to and from Silverstone Inc 80laps and no spinning and weather was 5 deg and heavy rain
I think CSL drivers are becoming slightly metrosexual ;)
where have the hardcore gone?

Cups @ Ring last November in freezing and wet conditions hard enough for you Shim?:bigcry: No spins but was struggling to keep it in a straight line in 5th!! Hardcore. I only gave up on the Cups when I got a bolt through the front N/S tyre.
Earlier in the year, March I think, was there with snow and -6 on Cups. All good fun.:smokin: Couldn't get up the hill from Tiergarten in the morning very well though.:hahaha:

Certainly do the rears (265x19) and the fronts are available in 245 width. These are for the E92, but I wouldn't bother. Original cups are so much better. If you want a wet tyre compromise then PS2 is just as good as cup+ and has 2mm more tread.
