Afternoon guys,

My headlights are stonechipped and having just had a respray and new bumper, would like to sort these out.

Does anybody know if the lenses on CSL Xenons can be replaced?

Found a lot of info mainly based in the states regarding replacing lenses but can't work out if we can do ours...

RealOEM lists: 63128382191 and 63128382192 but a google finds sites like this:

http://www.bmwpartsweb.com/BMW-Parts/Headlight-Lens-Left-(Not-for-Xenon-Lights)-E46-thru-0203-323Ci--325Ci--328Ci--330Ci--E46-01-05-M3__63128382191-BOSCH-ID-DDD4270.aspx

Which say "Not for Xenon"

Anyone? :whistle::thumbs:

Xenons if anything will run cooler, something like 35w vs 100w so not sure!

BMW dealer reckons it's doable so ordered a couple in, will let you know how I get on

Just been down to have a look....

Mine aren't that bad, but its one of those things that annoys me (along with plenty of other little bits on the car!)... so think I will get some ordered in anyway.

To remove:

Take screw out to remove side repeater.
There is a clip on the side of the headlight.
3 clips on top
1 on the other side
2 clips either side of the piece of trim underneath the light, pull out trim a couple of inches
3 clips underneath the light
Then it will just pull off!

A bit fiddly at first, but once you've done it once the other will be easy.

Replaced these yesterday with the new ones I ordered... I thought they looked much better...then met up with some mates for a drive and 2 of them both commented on and asked what I'd done to my headlights

I went to BMW and ordered them before finding out that the ones from GSF and the like are the same part for half the price :banghead: (as long as they are Bosch)... £52 a pop compared to £25.. had them in 2 days. Oh well you live an' learn! Well happy with the result.

Allegedly these are the same part:

948BM0090HEADLAMP LENS-LH BOSCH
948BM0100HEADLAMP LENS-RH BOSCH

From http://www.gsfcarparts.com/ But don't hold me to that.

Or you can get them from BMMiniparts.com but they don't actually list them... you have to give them the last 7 digits of the BMW part numbers and request a quote, they are a few quid cheaper than the BMW dealer.

Hope this helps matey, I'll dig out the part numbers if you need em.
