Afternoon all,
motivated by the sunny weather (here in London) and fitting the new plates to the car, today i gave the CSL a good clean. In doing so i noticed the smallest of small chips on the roof. Probably a maximum of 1mm across.
Before it leads to bigger issues, what do i need to do to it? A touch of clear laquer?
Thanks
I'd get something done sooner rather than later, maybe like you say some lacquer or clear nail varnish maybe?
I had a 1mm chip which can be seen in this pic:

It ended up like this after some water got under the lacquer. :bigcry:

£1500 later:bigcry:and it has a new roof

That's my worry!
Will see if the Missus has some clear nail varnish, alternatively it'll be down to Halfrauds for some clear laquer tomorrow.

Can't the chip just be filled and then re-laquered - presumably if the carbon isn't damaged, this should be easy enough?

use the lacquer that you get with the touch up kit if you dont have one get one cause you`ll need the touch up for the stone chips.

Yeah i noticed those as well when i was cleaning the car... Resigned to a front end respray at somepoint when i'll get some ventureshield or similar fitted too.
Will pick up a touch up kit and use that.
Ta.
I have one small chip on my roof and it doesn't seem to cause any problems, I regularly now jet wash the car as well, I will check but from what I can see the lacquer hasn't been affected at all.
