If you have had a new clutch recently, what price did you pay for it?
(Full assembly clutch plate and fly wheel)
Seems to me the price varies quite a lot from dealer to dealer. I think the parts are just short of 1K!
Mine's in Williams Bolton and price started off at £1800, when I questioned it today they knocked it down to £1725, but I still think extortionate.
My fault really - I took it in just to have it re-programmed but they told me it needed a new clutch so I told them to do it without ringing round first as I thought all dealers would roughly be about the same. How wrong can you be?
Best quote I got back was £1360. Still you live and learn!

Tell your dealer where the price was from and ask them to match it

Quite frankly mate you have been! Get your dealer to match that price then settle the bill and never go fucking back!!! Pricks, I've got my fingers crossed for you!

They cant tell till the clutch plate is in hand and if they are playing that game
ask to see the flywheel as i bet there are no ridge on it and they have changed it for nothing as it can be ruffed up with emmery paper :banghead:

Correct me if I'm wrong Shim but the second one was no better was it!? Or is that in the throws of being replaced now?
BMW really need to come up with a solution to this problem once and for all, people say that they support the CSL very well but it doesn't seem so sometimes with reoccuring problems like this!

Get the clutch plate mesured min thinkness is 1.0mm if it has more then it should have been warranty claim or a good will as the item has failed and was not fit for the job :banghead:
