Team Dynamics. Talk to me!
I may be covering old ground here, but I wanted fresh new thoughts.
These TD Pro 1.2/ 1.3s have been in the back of my head whilst in search of some more 18" wheels.
I will be running 265/18 Direzzas all round and have considered 1.2 Pro Race 4x 18x9J, but my supplier has just offered me 18x10J. So whats best 18x9J square set up, 18x10J square or 9J/10J Staggered Rears. ET30 I am guessing?
Now will I have issues with rubbing on arches/ struts, need of wheel spacers, or too aggressive. Whats the better set up? Or
...Opt for another set of 4x M3 18" Rears?

I can confirm that 18x10 ET15 fit on the rear but are too much for the fronts, got an ET25 on order now to see if that works ok and if so I'll order a load of them to run a square 18x10 setup.
Out of interest how much is your supplier charging you?

i personally would go with TD 1.2s 10J all round
i would pick et30 running 265 tyres all round which would mean you could run 10-15mm spacers on the back if you want to and on the front have a little to play to makwe them fit perrrrfec  (my concerns with the et25 is that they would foul the arches and with et30 you could add small spacers to get the position perfect for mid way between the arch and strut
not so bad for Nathan as he can hit his arches with a hammer or add some fibreglass to get more clearance - and he wants as wide a track as possible:hahaha:

Thanks for the Input Chaps. ET30 way be the better option for me then.
@Nathan I have just come off the phone with my supplier and he can offer most sizes inc new 10J off the shelf in most colours and ETs. Most colours available, Gloss back on the shelf but matt black and other colours may take 2-3 weeks.
Price I will confirm but £600 IIRC.

If you are using J10 you would need an offset of et25 for the front and add a 10mm spacer for rears ie et15
If you are running 9.5J on the front you require min of et28 I found et30 very close to the strut ie 1 or 2mm
Different wheel manufacturers do come up different on some the thickness of the tyre bead is wider, the J is measured between the internal shoulders of the wheel where the tyre beads sits.

Cheers TS, PM sent. ;)
I would however want to be able to run rears on fronts when the time comes so would have a problem when swapping et15 rears to fronts as Nathan says, correct?
If I can get away with not using spacer on the TDs I will, so the CSL/Cups can fit back on without hassle of spacers and longer bolts. Messy!

when you talk about a square set up, do you means in terms of track width front and back the same.
I am running currently running j10 et20 on the back and j9.5 et 28 on the front at present my front track is about 10mm wider than the back !
I think standard set up run's a narrower track on the front by 20mm than the back
Sorry for going of topic

Assume that price is +vat?
My order is already in for an et25 for trial fitment so can try it on a standard car and get a pic if that helps?
Shimmy - 1.3 in 10j, 1.2 only go up to 9j I believe :)

I simply meant the same size wheels all round :)

If a 265 fits a 9J no probs, whats the benefits for running a 10J with a 265 if you are saving weight with a 9J? Interested to know the weight difference between the 9/10J. Is a 285 doable on a 10J square set up?

I run the 18 x 9
was on 235 front 265 rear,
But i'm trying 265 allround this year with small spacer on the back.
See how it goes.
Ill be coming to germany/spa with mine on, im gonna use some r888's in 265 all round, see how they are now my car is lighter. They were too cheap to not try them. I think they will hold up fine on the ring, but spa might present a problem.
Although I'm building up a nice little supply of a048, 888, dz03gs and 2 sets of slicks. My supply is outgrowing shimmys;)

lawsy
what compound R888 have you bought? I think once you get down below 1350kg for the car the life of the R888 will be much better.
And I'll have you know my tyre stock is dwindling rapidly. 12 Tyres and 4 rims gone in the last 5 days. I have to admit however that other people keep trying to fill it up again

@ John - What ET do you run all round and do you ever space Front/ Rears? & Would you say any benefits running 10J front/ Rear, much in the Weight saving?

20 offset, the 9's are a lot lighter than 10's and we run 10mm spacers as we change the track of the car depending on the conditions (wet/dry etc).
