Oil Service? Confused..

Wonder if anyone can help... My CSL is circa 36K miles, just come back from holiday to start the CSL after a weeks abscence.

According to the reading on my dash my next service is due in 8500 miles, which is fine, however when i flip to my oil reading the oil level is --I-- basically showing nothing and also states 'oil service'.

So confused, as the dash is sayin im not due a service, then the oil level is not reading but also showing oil service. Does anyone know what this means? As the dash appears to be contradicting itself.. and im concerned with a null reading on the oil levels especially as i dont have a dipstick!

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The oil reading is normal matey. May take a while if been left. Just take it for a long joyride. ;)

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.As KARBON KID says,this is normal,it always says oil service when you check your oil.Go for a nice drive,the reading will come back.;)

Unless there's a pool of oil on the garage floor i wouldn't worry! Quite normal as the others say.

Thanks guys thats eased my mind. Will take it out tomorrow :)
