Just thought I would say hi. All going well I should be picking my new saphire black CSL on Tuesday or Wednesday.
Had an M3 before . . . .

. . . . and I have just got rid of this . . . .

Was not sure what to replace it with until my wife said "why don't you get another M3 and then another person was talking about just how good the CSL is and off I went in search of one.

Thanks for the comments. I loved the M3 and it was one of my favorite cars. It was an SMG but no CSL.
The GTR was truly epic but cost a fortune to run. I had it 8 months and if I had kept it any longer it was going to cost me another 3K.
If I had kept it for 12 months I would have spent nearly 10K on ownership including depreciation.
As a car it is was fantastic, brutally fast, great road holding and very tactile
steering.
Can't wait to own the CSL.

Well, enjoy the new motor and get some pics on here when you've collected! Great place for advice around here - I am about 9 months into ownership and it still an occasion to drive every time

Welcome!
CSL handling is EPIC so no doubt you'll enjoy (I am...it's streets ahead of the 996 turbo I just sold!) and the noise is addictive (along with the looks of disgust you'll get from boring old farts and cyclists...lol)

I've heard horrible things about maintenance costs for the R35 GTR ... kinda of glad now that I didn't get one :supz:

you're right! if it's the lower price you can find to have a supercar...it's A supercar for replace parts or maintenance...
the worst is you need have inspection after each time you run on a track!
not the case of the CSL,ouf!
