Just today bought this car and driven it home:
http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/1528737.htm
It is in nice condition as the advert claims - clearly well looked after (this is the point where someone posts a pic of it filthy dirty and with a previous owner smoking it round the 'Ring of course!)
I'm coming from a '02 SMG M3 and the CSL already feels a lot more special. I think I've already developed an addiction to the induction noise , and I'll no doubt be bugging you all with various inane questions over the next few days as I settle in with the car.

She is in superb condition, this car is not one of the (Big Brake) cars used on track
Nice car. But clearly former owner not trying hard enough :hahaha:
One of the things you realise is that the brakes are the main weak point on the CSL in standard OEM form. And not all with BBKs are tracked.
My 15 year old E34 had OEM 4 pot 343mm floating discs which were better even before pad upgrades.
Anyway, welcome

Totally. Had my eyes opened to the world of bigger brakes earlier in the week.
Getting my standards changed to ap's.

I've just changed my OEM's to AP 6 pots, still bedding in but early indication is that they are much better. My Formula kit actually came with AP Racing's own Brake pads - equiv of DS2500's. However the Formula set I bought for my E36 M3 came with DS2500's so maybe they have changed their approach...

Thanks for all the responses.
The two cars, old and new, look nice together - pity I don't have space for both really.
