Performance Direct (Bristol)

http://www.performance-direct.net/index.asp

Anyone had any dealings with them?

They have a car i fancy taking a look at but called yesterday and got the impression that it was a bit of an inconvenience talking to me :smt022

basically asked what sort of deal id get as i have no trade in and was bluntly told that if he knocked off money (not alot at that) for that reason then id get no Tax or warranty :smt102

Just wondered if id maybe caught him on a bad day or if he just does not care about gaining future customers :bigcry: :hahaha:

Go on first impressions mate.

Find one elsewhere, its becoming more commonplace now where the trader acts as though it is the last car of that type in the world. #
Although to be fair dealing with the amount of cocks that selling cars attracts, I can understand why some are blase. I bought and sold many cars a few years back and the amount of unhinged people out there is shocking.

One of my questions,

Was it a Hire car, a company car or a lease car

The answer he gave was " yeah one of those" :bigcry: :bigcry: :bigcry:

Just trying to get as much info from him as possible as its not just a 5min drive from Aberdeen.

bl00dy hell - A blast from the past !!

I bought a 1.9 Gti from them about 13 years ago when I lived in Bristol !

Miami Blue - top car - actually on sold it about 3 years ago - regret the day I did so.

Good and bad experience. They made good a few problems at point of sale (new rad etc), but they "lost" the service history and said they would fwd it on. I naively took the car anyway and it never turned up. Never had any probs with the car in 8/9 yrs but it left bitter taste.

Went to look at the SG CSL they had a while back, the guy was quite off handed on the phone when I asked all the sensible questions ( Service history, mods, etc ). Didn't impress me at all. Since I was around the Bristol area at the time I popped in, treated like I was just taking the p**s about buying it, bearing in mind I wasn't wearing a hoodie and i'm not 17 years old :hahaha: Looking forward to getting my mint one from Nick Johnson ( Amars old car ) on monday. Nick was more like the sort of person you want to deal with ( although he drives a hard bargain ;) ). Shop around is my advice. Good luck.

Just to add, as stated before maybe the guys at P.D. were having a bad day, I like to give the benefit of the doubt but then again........
