Air Intake

Is there any set parameters that the air intake flap should open. EG every gear after 6000 rpm or only from 3 rd gear onwards. I think i am having problems with mine but could do with knowing how others work.

Ok this is how to check

OPEN the bonnet you will need some 1 to help
start the car put it in sport then blip the revs up past 4000rpm
the flap should open up

Do you guys know of any CSL that is salvage? I want to buy another intake to put on my non CSL. I can have the programming changed so it would work.

i thought the flap opened at 3500 in sport and 4500 not in sport.....??

it's 3k and 6k respectively.

since Mapping and the sport comes on auto from start up ive forgotten all about the detail!

Who did the remap Shimmy ?
Thats a nice feature to have sport activated from start-off.

Most likely Simpson Motorsport using ESS re-map. Sport memory is a good little mod. :thumbs:

By the way, you'll find Simpson Motorsport actually carry out & engineer quite a few technical modifications for some other tuning companies who don't have the expertise. No names but you get the picture. :wink:
