I don't know what that other thread was all about, seem's as though Matt had a good deal going from someone somewhere down the line and just fucked it up!? Oh well, let's keep this sensible and down to the true price someone can provide.
If someone wants to put a true figure of what one can be supplied at then I'm sure a few of us will certainly consider it with a firm price on the table! :)

Dan... I thought U could read m8. I really DON'T wish to start this nonsense again. I even asked the Moderators to CLOSE it down, before it got really ugly. I was very subtle from the starts of problems, I didn't name any names and I didn't post any lies or fabrications. I deliberately kept away, towards the end of the previous thread as I could see it going nowhere. I was considering sending this to U Dan as a PM but since you're making a meal of it, saying " I just fooked it all up", it's here for all to see. Sadly it seems your ignorance, and that of a few others is bewildering and forces me to explain... again.
For the RECORD I didn't FOOK anything up. All I did was to approached the nearest supplier of Supersprint products (Euro Car Parts in Cambridge) who happen to be the sole imported of Supersprint products and asked them for BEST price, to me. They said they could price match Evolv's deal @ £1164 and I could have the SS RACE Lightweight the following morning. Based on these three factors (the price, FAST availability & reliable supplier) I ordered it on the spot, there & then. My only mistake, it seems in hindsight, was to publicly share my good fortune with others who were interested in buying the same. Unfortunately for me (Thorney & Evolv) also read the post and were less then impressed with ECP ( not me ) later calling the ECP head office behind the scenes, making a serious complaint, with regards to price matching. After all I just asked what's the best price they could do for me, I didn't force anyone to do anything. £1164 was their call and I agreed. I have no idea what THORNEY sells them for as I waited for over TWO weeks to get a replay from John, to no avail. To this day I don't know the Thorney price.
The following day my Supersprint back box arrived anyway, but unfortunately (for me), it was heavily damaged on one of the tips so ECP Cambridge said they'll get another one, undamaged unit in for the following morning. I agreed but by the late afternoon of that same day I received a surprise phone call from ECP Cambridge informing me they had to retract their price match offer due to a complaint from their big account customer (Evolve or Thorney)... END OFF
SO for your information Dan, as well as some other, Euro Car Parts FOOKED UP... not me... after all, I'm still without the SS and now I have to read these flippant comments... THANX guys

... and neither do I but when someone makes such flippant comments without knowing the facts, enough is enough. I do appreciate you're clarification though weedavey ;) ... you're off the hook :hahaha:.
Fair enough Matt, but as you so nicely put it I am not making a meal of anything, not personally bothered whether it's on here or PM mate, just my opinion at the end of the day...
If that's the way it happened then fair enough (hard to tell with everything that was said), but Thorney advertise on this site, surely better for him to respond to members requests quicker than 2 weeks!? I know if I did that then my customer would go elsewhere for sure! :(
You are without an SS box so as I said above, lets keep this SENSIBLE and see what someone can genuinely offer! :) ;)

Maybe you should have chosen your words a bit more carefully (like I did when writing about my disappointment with the SS deal) and show regard for others by not mentioning any names. Just imagine for a second, if I wrote that Evolve/ THORNEY fooked it up for me, Blaa, Blaa, blaa... in my original post about the subject. You say, oh it's just my opinion but someone else, new to here might read it as the Gospel and go with it, other might join this post midway and be misguided ... hardly fair. This Forum has rules which state " No posts shall discredit, disrepute or insult any member of this community " to avoid tarnishing anyone name or reputation. I've abided by these out of respect to others and shown restraint, maybe from now on, you should too.

Saddened me to see my first "spat" on here chaps. Glad to see its resolved, I think Matt explained his position quite clearly and to be fair he got treated a bit shabbily by ECP after all a deal is a deal.
Dont you get too stressed Matt !! I need you calm at Bedford tomorrow mate !!:hahaha:, and looking at the weather, Cups aint the tyre choice for tomoz, even though I have chucked one of my 18" BBS's in as a spare with a Cup on it! Glad I got the PS2's on. See you in the morning Matt & Shim:thumbs:

Wouldn't that just piss THORNEY , Evolve & ECP right off ??? I'm not going through that nonsense again. I can just see this ending up the same scenario and the reason why I don't have the SS back box. Once bitten, twice shy.

Matt if this is in response to me asking why you don't purchase from Lawsy then personally I wouldn't be worrying about upsetting a retailer who didn't reply to me, as I say if I wasn't to respond to a potential customer at work then I would fully expect them to go elsewhere with their custom and do their business deal with someone that was willing to meet their requirements...
It sounds to me as though you really wanted one of these boxes, it also seems to me that you now have the opportunity to have one! :)

It's actually directed @ Lawsy but full of useful info. for others too. TBH, I'm spending enough time & money on Brembo front brake conversion & TD tires. I'll get the Supersprint when a GREAT! deal comes my way and I feel like it. With Brembo & Cups on my mind, I'm really not bothered about the SS for the moment

I'm not chucking anything in, away, or otherwise... just keeping my card very close to my chest. When the SS if physically bolted on and hanging off my CSL, then I'll let everyone know about it... with lots of pix to wind the likes of Lawsy, right up.:smt064

Think they are about 2k, they really suit the car, might be the black car that they really suit as well.

LOL it was a bike accident, but I tell all the kids the shark story,
should see their faces:hahaha:
about £800 to £1200 depending on condition
Most with tyres change hands for £1500

just to add my 2p.........
I have an A1 set of genuine CSL alloys going for £1200 onto here and PH next week if anybody is interested.
I like Dazzers Rays as well......my Rays arrive mid March touch wood.
And Matt, guess what I will have in my boot tomorrow when I turn up at Bedford eventually :)

I am seeing ECP on Wed to see what can be done.
I'm not sure where the 2 week delay came from, I posted up here for people to list what they wanted (there are 5 different options/combinations on SS - all of which are listed in our site shop) but didnt get any responses.
I will try to sort a deal as I promised.
As regards wheels? Well I've got one set left (same As Daz) (in bronze) if anyone is interested.

just to add my 2p.........
If U don't hush up about this SS nonsense, I'll make U fit that one, that's in your boot, onto mine, for FREE :blalalala: :hahaha: ;)

As a few of you have said, these not only look good, they are also lighter and forged so tougher than the std rims... looked good in bronze ... just fancied a change.. hence the matt gunmetal finish on mine ;)

Just looking at your prices on 19" TE37's, why is there such a difference between Bronze & Silver ones for the sake of a colour?

cost of the paint differs, application methods differ, shorter run ie non standard, heavier postage (don't laugh at that one)

So,
The low price I got from Germany is confirmed.
I think people won't like to see a thread (or re-open the locked one) so I guess whoever wants to participate sends me a pm.

Yeah! Why would a colour make even a £1 difference to the price!?
Paint content and the painting processes may differ from standard silver finish. Some metallics have a certain metal flake content i believe and costs vary for such additives. Have a look at the Rays website - you can order their wheels direct from the factory in several different non-standard finishes but this adds considerable cost to the overall price... :banghead:

Nice one Alex - glad you seem to have secured a good deal at last! I feel PM would be a sensible approach to letting people know about this in light of recent events! At least this supplier is on the Continent and would not affect suppliers here...

OK, had the meeting with ECP and they are horrified at the poor way this has been handled. As a result I have suggested a group buy price for members here and ECP have agreed as a one off due to to the confusion. However this all maybe a little pointless in that the price from the German supplier is nothing like what i can do but I said I'd try and sort something either way.
ECP have agreed to a 20% discount for a group buy, minimum of 5 items (these can be mix and matched).
This means a SS lightweight rear box would be £1196.80 plus shipping incl VAT.
The full list of SS options is on our site shop:
http://www.thorneymotorsport.co.uk/products/index.php?cPath=1329_1637_1342_1375&sort=2a&page=1
Next time this sort of thing kicks off can I suggest someone just calls me? THis could all have been sorted so much easier and simpler without the recriminations and accusations.

I meant in general to get a good deal, nothing to do with this silly exhaust saga! There's nothing more I want than some decent AP's and maybe KW's but there's nothing wrong with NOT getting bent over on price :smokin: :blalalala:
The thought of how cheap some linglong ditchfinders could be is turning me on though! :smt103 :bigcry: ;)
