View Full Version : Why can't BBS make this wheel in the right fitment!?
:banghead: :banghead:
They make the BBS CH BMW CSL fitment but not the bloody BBS CO! :(

Meh, they look like RE's but then the RE's only come in 20" in M3 fitment and they are magnesium I believe.
CH's are nice looking wheels only they are heavy compared to other wheels, think I told you before, but that doesnt stop me wanting a set

Forgot to add they should be bringing out a varient of the CH in 19" in M3 fitment, its the CH-R, supposed to be lighter and I think they look good.
They do a couple of sizes, there is also supposed to be a 9.5x19 ET35 coming, so with a bit of camber that will fit the front nicely, along with 10.5 rears.

along with 10.5 rears.
Did you get 10.5 rears on a CSL and still be legal? i.e. tyre still under the wheel arch?
Ah !! ...i just thought, maybe my Intrax pushes my 10" out further than OEM suspension if thats what you are running phat.
Answer please :hahaha:

Im running CSL wheels no BBS but yes you can run a 10.5 with it still being legal, you might get some rubbing depending on your ride height, but as long as the offset is OK it will fit.
They are quite similar to the RE but seem to be a bit less defined and a bit smoother :smokin:
I do like the CH, it's a very nice wheel and as either a track or a road wheel I wouldn't be that worried about a little extra weight :)
The CH-R is out but not as you say in the correct BMW fitment! :(
I wonder if CH's take a 6 pot AP caliper with 355mm disc minimum? ;)

I have BBS type RG773H 10J X 18 with 25 mm offset, running them with a 10mm spacer, and at that, there is about 6~7 mm between the inside of the tyre and my Intrax strut. But as the pic below shows, technically its illegal !! Are you running OEM suspension still?

Im running H&R springs on OEM dampners, and CSL wheels with 12/10 spacers.

That's cool then, I've always wanted a nice set of BBS wheels and now have the perfect car to have them on! :smokin:
I wouldn't know whether or not to fit Cups to the BBS's and keep them for Summer/Track wheels? Then keep my original wheels on PS2's for winter and ewt track use!?

So you not actually running 10.5 wide then at the moment? Maybe im missing something, or maybe you have more clearance than me on the OEM strut...confused :bigcry:

Easy option, just pick up an old set of BBS CH for E36 M3 in 8.5x19 and 9.5x19 it fit's perfect Csl, clearly perfect for cup's in 235 & 265, no spacers front and 16mm rear, and you're done.

I bought my CH back early 2000 when I got my 3.2 estoril E36, ran thoses rims for 7 years, re-sprayed them back in 2008 and I run theses for trackday's since..
I much prefer the CO but do like the CH David, the problem is the PCD on the CO is incorrect amongst other things! :(
