View Full Version : BMW Warranty Paperwork...

I assume I should get something!? I paid for it on the 9th Feb but have just realised I've had nothing through the post yet!?

They give you a 14 day cooling off period as you should get with insurance but I've not even had the fucking paperwork to check through it! :banghead:

What's the norm?

Dont worry about the paperwork it will come but you dont need it bmw can tell if it has warranty :thumbs:

I just wondered mate, I know it's got the initial 30 day excess period and I'm sure it's all legit, I work in insurance and things need to be sent promptly or people kick off as you arn't 'treating the customer fairly' ;)

Just wondered if you do actually get something and when you should get it! lol :)

Yes you get a small book with the things coverd and so forth :thumbs:

took mine out the day after you dan got my paperwork on friday.

I've got a soft copy of all the docs if you would like a copy. Like Mark says, BMW will know it's covered anyway. Clever things them keys! ;)

Bloody hell BMW did well out of us lot last week then didn't they! :bigcry::bigcry:

Have just checked mine and nothing has gone out so I'm definately going to have to get on the phone to BMW tomorrow!! Bet they've fucked it up hence getting no paperwork! :banghead:

Hi dan,as you know ive just taken out the lapsed bmw extended warranty[a month ago]and the paper work did not come through till after the first month.When its not a lapsed warranty the paper work comes through streight away.;)

Well mine was lapsed but the payment still hasn't gone through, did your payment go straight through?

I changed the warranty over on mine in Jan and still had nothing back!

Well I've just spoken to BMW and I was 'lost in the system' so no warranty issued hence no paperwork received! :banghead: :bigcry:

I hope they backdate it to the 9th Feb....

I hope they backdate it to the 9th Feb....After all the probs youve been having Dan with the warranty,i thought id check mine,glad i did,as the VIN number was wrong,the reg was ok.So im now waiting for my new paperwork.:banghead:

I rang bmw today, and the guy said there is "a problem with the letter"..?? and should be recieving paperwork in about 10 days. But my warranty starts 9th march as i was told when i purchased it. 14 day cooling off period starts when i recieve the paperwork.

Cool :thumbs: I did manage to get them to at least email me the Breakdown number to call today! :whistle: :bigcry:

This lot seem fucking useless to me as an insurance company, I hope they act better when, sorry if I want to claim! :hahaha: ;)
