Saw a damn good CSL copy today. Thought it had been wrapped it was that good. Rip off CF roof, splitters, bumper, bootlid etc. Only when I got a glimpse of the interior did I realise. Also no CSL side emblems.

Check it out:

I recknon hes matt blacked the roof, should have done the rain gutters as well to make it look even more realistic! ;)

Not sure about the dodgy plate though! Surely there's plenty of 'M3' plates available to buy rather than doctoring that one? :clown:

Looks well and respect to him for not badging it as a CSL. Agree with the comments regarding the plate, looks a bit naff IMHO.

Friend of mine has just badged his 2001 M3 as a CSL on the bootlid, he is now looking for the side badges aswell :banghead: He's got an OEM CSL bootlid, a cheap replica front bumper (like the ones in the CSL cup), replica wheels, and a very dodgy diffuser (thing weighed a ton).

He's seen pics on my computer of Nathan's green CSL and now wants to do the GT3 RS style side decal with "M3 CSL".

Not sure what to with him :banghead:

Thank you. I love CSL's but they just arent as affordable in Europe as they are in the UK unfortunately for me.

I'm guessing the import tax from Uk to EU is probably ridiculous as well!? :banghead:

Car looks amazing, have replied on the other thread ;)

Depends which country, to Spain you get hit with tax even when you import the car (which shouldnt really exist as its all EU), some other countries are a lot better, France for example it's about 1100 Euros you pay to register an M3 so wont be far off for the CSL as it goes by fiscal hp.

I would love one but would have to convert it to LHD which will be a pita, guess I could always use the parts of a certain LHD M3

What about buying one from Germany, already LHD?

On average, a £10 000 premium over UK RHD CSLs ... main reason why quite a few UK CSLs end up back on in ze Fazerland

Prices are a lot higher as Matt said, I bought my car 3.5 years ago and paid about 25K for it which was good value even compared to the UK market at that time. CSL's however have always had a very high premium for a decent one over here in Europe.
