How much would you pay for a second hand set of race cats (Supersprint) ?

Noticed they're over £1200 quid now for a new set.

Rick

PS got a set to sell.

I sold my pristine 3 month old Miltek 100cell cats in 2008 to a fellow member on here for £500. Back then they cost me just over £1000 new.

Depending on age/condition i would offer yours at a similar price. I think the Miltek/Supersprint 100 cell cats are made by the same manufacturer btw.

I looked at these new and nearly fell over too Rick! :bigcry:

Are they really that beneficial, I think Simpsons quote them to give a 7bhp increase when I read their site, is it really worth it?

EDIT: Why did you sell yours Rob?

Been offered £600 they're in pretty good condition, beat that and you can have them ....

I could certainly notice the slight increase in power but felt more torquey ie pulled harder mid range. Ideally you'd like to do exhaust & cats & remap all at the same time.

Yeh but cats are hard to put an age/mileage on as its very hard to tell the internal condition etc etc, just a visual on outside so people tend to slightly bend the mileage/age of them.

Most I see go for £500, bought mine for £500, sold some to a friend for £500.

So I would take the £600.

£600 is between £500 and £800 you nutter:hahaha:

IF a guy shows me a receipt for a new exhaust and 100 cell cats bought 6 months ago and sold due to car sale and car has done 500 miles itll be worth £800 ;)

See as a garage owner and a mechanic myself shim, I know there are lots of variables that could screw a cat up, shit poor map for a start, like the one you are planning next week;), so a 6 month 500 mile old cat is still only worth £500 to me:thumbs:

My point was £600 is a good price for him imo.

In fact the going rate from the gypos for old cats is about £35 atm
