Just had my renewal, gone up about 15% on last year, so should prob look about.

What do you guys pay and any recommendations?

To get the ball rolling, I'm 36, 8yrs NCD protected, car is garaged, minor claim last year (not the CSL) and they want £589 after a little negotiation (Admiral)

Doh! That means mine will go up too, me with Admiral! £589? what you moaning about?
Ask for a loyalty discount. Works for me every time.

Yeah they took that loyalty one off already, guess I can't complain but sure I was only paying £400 odd when I first got it!

Interested to know other prices and companies.

I found Admiral to be the best for me whilst my car remained unmodified...

Now with CCI as they cover my track days as well as standard road use for less than Admiral were!

CCI wouldn't quote me due to age so cant comment but Admiral were cheapest about. So not sure what route to go regards TD cover.

I found Admiral / Bell / Elephant have all gone up this year, but that might just be for me.

Suspect most folks will see increases this year. The insurance market in general is hardening, third parties more likely to make liability claims these days and the lack of opportunity for insurers to make money from investments recently...

Been suggested elsewhere this lot are worth a go:

"
http://www.hagertyinsurance.co.uk/

The other plus point is that for a 5% fee they will give fully comp track day cover for any organised event in the UK.
"

Have to be over 30 years old, so no use for you whippersnappers.

One of the few perks about getting old must be the cheap(er) insurance.

Swinton have a specialist car division, specifically for sports and modified cars, worth trying.
