On the contrary... Clarkson is useless behind the wheel and probably fluffed every gear change when he drove it :hahaha:. He should have left it in :gayfight: AUTO mode with SPORTS off.

He looks ok to me, no racing driver. But he can hold a powerslide, Oh yeh he has dsc off on track, do you Matt?:gayfight:

I posted a thread about this few months back, I wondered where it was just out of curiosity. Glad to see its still mint.

I would have thought he is fairly competent, can certainly hustle a car around a track ok! ;)

Yeah SURE... when U have an Airfield the size of Belgium at your disposal and someone else's car/tyres to play with (Press hacks) even a chimp can do power slides like Clarkson :blalalala:.
Don't believe everything you see on TV (the power of creative editing :hahaha: ) It's a myth about Press cars being extra special. Sure, they are exceptionally well looked after and serviced every time they comeback from a loan, but having extra BHP & being specially build for the Press ... that would be faulcifying the truth and neither magazine Editors/Road testers, nor the readers would appreciate that. Usually, Press Cars lead a hard life... the higher the BHP the harder the life. How do I know this... 13 years working in the Motoring Press and numerous Long Term, Press Cars under my belt . Sadly NEVER the M3 CSL :bigcry:

I would be awesome on an airfield in someone else's car, your right! :bigcry: :hahaha:

What I'm saying mate is he's no mug, he can control a car and has got to be better than the average Joe just due to the fact that he is used to a car stepping/sitting out etc :)

As for Press Car's, I've never known much about them so I'll take your work for it! :)

I've seen Clarkson's car control first hand - albeit on a beach - and he seemed pretty competent.

He also seemed quite a normal, down to earth bloke, unlike the smug pretentious TV image that people tend to have of him!

He also likes CSLs which makes him pretty cool of sorts... :hahaha:

Ahh... message received  Don't get me wrong, I've met him on couple of occasions and he seem a very approachable, laid back, down to earth kind of chap who, as U said is better driver then your average Jo, but he's not in the same league of great drivers such as Tiff Needell or Jason Plato. Now, these guys can pedal :supz:

That's because Tiff & Jason are race drivers! Not some fat middle aged TV presenter who loves pratting about in cars! :bigcry:

Tiff Needell presented me with a Trophy at Castle Combe a few years ago for me coming second in a show and shine competition with my old Concours Series 1 RS Turbo :smokin:  Really, really nice guy

Ps. Cool pics of you and Jezza Rob! lol
