Hi,
was searching for something and
stumbled across this.
Given all the CSL's were SMG originally
thought it might be helpful.
Even a sticky ?

I browsed these discussions myself, I have saved the links in my favourites a while back, interesting as a few on here have had the delay into 4th problem, and sometimes missing 4th straight into 5th, always a new gearbox fitted as well.
Was it not shimster?
Who knows whether it was just a £1.50 spring.

Sounds very similar symptoms shimmy, a replacement spring, £1.50
Good for future reference if ever with no warranty:clown:

Def worth making this a sticky for SMG gearbox problems as some of the links to the spring and pump issues are superb. (Rob/Mark/Daz - can you do this?)
HEre si my 2007 gear slip at Donny (excuse maxx in the pasenger seat as the noise it was making was getting him worried). Tis video proved to my dealer i had an issue as it was not reoccuring very often.
Do you reckon this was the pring thing!?!

Yes I reckon it was Shimmy, good to know in future, as BMW dealers just like to replace whole units.
