Hi Guys,
I am moving back to the UK next month after 3 years in the Caribbean, and I have a very big car itch to scratch, having been driving round in a rather large and slow 4x4! After months of deliberation, I have decided against my first choice of a 360, as I will need to park on the road in SW London. Fortunately this lead me back to the CSL!
I’m looking for the usual spec... grey, standard (surely an AP’ed car will have been tracked to death?) sub 35k...
I would really appreciate knowing about any mint cars that you may know about that could be coming up for sale. I would ideally like to find one before Christmas.
Thanks guys.

An AP equipped car does not neccessarily mean a car that has been tracked to death - some people do fit APs to the fronts but have never used them anywhere near a track.
As it is, the majority of cars that are tracked can still be covered by a BMW warranty and want for nothing, generally receiving a higher level of scrutiny and attention to the smallest of faults by their owners and speciallist garages... ;)

there were a couple of good mintish ones up for sale, I'll check out the other forums and see if I can find them
if your looking for a car that hasnt been tracked I wouldn't rule out AP or other brake upgrades as some people just like to mod for the street and you may miss the perfect car

Hi Guys,
Thanks for your quick and welcoming responses! It’s a good point about the AP’s and after having experienced lots of “spongy moments” with my past BMW’s I think it has to be a sensible option (not to mention looking hard as hell). I’m really looking forward to getting back behind the wheel of a CSL – the last one I drove was BMW’s press car (Reg M3 CSL) at the launch for Auto Express!
I will need to travel between London and Cheshire lots (not to mention the EVO triangle), so I think a full on light weight model is out of the question unfortunately. I have been looking at MD23’s car in Fife on PH, which looks like a nice spec car... not to mention he is already a member. If any one knows the car please PM with thoughts.
Thanks again.

Welcome Doubleg, if you are intending travelling London - Cheshire quite a bit, drop in for a coffee sometime, we just off J14 of M1 , place called Olney, we can even inspect the underside of your cherished CSL while you wait ! see below !

WOW - DuncanR, is that car running standard suspension? if so I can’t believe the drop is so small! Very BTCC.

That drop has to be at least 6 feet Double G !! :hahaha:
Im running Intrax 4-way on the car but have no idea about setup, other than to say that I drive Olney - Ring = a$$ hurts, and funnily enough it does exactly the same Ring - Olney ! I run around in it exactly as I bought it ... maybe one day I will have the knowledge and inclination to play with it ! .... and probably mess it up !

Hi Mate
Know of the perfect car, SG with the ALCON CSL Cup brakes on mint car 70k few ring trips and some track work but nothing much as he works too bloody hard running his own biz. (Hence why he is selling) has hit tough times and is gutted but it needs to go, its not advertised yet (as he's running about at the mo and not taken photo's)
Rob (glendog) will vouch for both the car and the owner as he is a good mate of mine, its a 53 plate, with all the right service stamps, std other than brakes that thorney did.
If your interested then let me know and i will give you his moby or email and you can sort with him, he is based around reading area, but travels all over.
