Have a charity RR day next weekend with one of the local clubs up here.
Might put the CSL on just to get a confirmation of it's standard power but i know there is something that you need to do to the car 1st.
What is it?
Can someone who knows PM me please?
Cheers,

You will need to fully disable the esp/traction control, there is a sequence,
But im sure you just press and hold the dsc button until the traction light is red, i may be out but that sequence seems to rings a bell.

Just get it on there warm and do it quickly. If people faff about with practise runs, the ECU will stop you after a couple of goes. Just strap it down and go for it...

I was disappointed with 364 bhp, but the dyno broke before it could completely rev out...

Cool thanks guys,
I have tried the traction control button but the light just goes out after about 10 sec?
Basically just take it for a spin, ESP off & Sport on, dont switch it off, strap it down and run it up?
Any other advice as i dont want to be wasting my dosh ;)

Get rid of the rpm maxing out altogether @ 6300rpm. It's just a simple function in the ECU which can be removed permanently.
Nords, thats very good power isn't it or is yours modified?
S38, What do you mean by that?

It is stock parts (exhaust & filter etc), 51K miles and a stage 1 thorney map to lose the limiter and clear up the bottom end; it was John's (Don'tdobends/Curly)'s originally.

Cool, so I take it you wanted a bit more?
Arn't most of the DD runs meant to be in 4th or is that specific to other cars?

Realistically you shouldn't expect any more than that without lots of internal work.

No, I'm only joking. Totally happy with it as it is, I happy to spend extra cash on cups! It is having the armourfend redone on it at present but once done, I'm trying to mininise the costs!
Not sure about the third gear, John?
Mine made 367 bhp at Thorneys last Summer, the other CSL was 364 bhp.
Stock E46 M3's were 322 - 332 bhp, and a CS 351 bhp.
I don't believe mine is modded so was very happy with the result!

364/367 one week can be totally different the next. Lots of variance is found - even just by altering the rolling road sensor placement slightly, resulting in several bhp difference with the same atmospherics and base settings applied...

So what your saying is its actually impossible to accurately find the exact BHP of a CSL!? :bigcry:

They just dived in there with screwdriver in hand to pop off the vacuum hose and snapped the bit clean off.
Big hoohaa as it had a jubilee clip and they never loosened it so just decided it best to sit this one out.
