Could be quite a good laugh if the weather holds. All day event with Open Pit lane, a reasonable 105 dB (A) exhaust check and just £139. Perfect for all the Southerners :hahaha: (me included) Link below

I was going to wait and see what the weather was doing and book up a few days before if any spaces left :hahaha: Yes I'm a tart!!

Like you say though, good price for all day open pit.

Yes, it is very well priced. I'll be nice to have a bit of a CSL invasion (come on SIEN) on this BMW only day :hahaha: there is enough of us down here in the "Sauff" :hahaha: Might end up being a reasonably quiet day to enjoy the track to ourselves

OK I'll put my name down tentatively! Depends on the work situation and if it's going to be pissing down. I did a wet track day at Brands on my bike before and it was lairy to say the least!

Having owned 3 evos and now the csl, I was much more confident in the csl, you can feel what it is actually doing, rather than numbness in the evo. And I was just as fast in the wet as my mate in his 500bhp evo both running a048, he can peddle as well

I've decided not to do a track day until next year now. Can't trust the weather and right now don't want to track it until I can get track day insurance sorted for a reasonable amount. I can't afford to replace my car completely if I stack it, so going to wait I reckon (anyone use track day insurance here?)

GlenDog (Rob) recommended " Competition Car Insurance" , I rung for a quote and was amazed  at what they quoted me, so mush that I took it up almost straight away as they were the cheapest by far ( £505 fully comp with £500 total excess and include 4 Track Days/year coverage, one of which can be FIA approved European one like Spa  ) It's a 5000 mile per year limit (which can easily be extended) for a garaged CSL in a good Cambridge post code. Give them a call on: 0115 9415255 and say they were recommended by other CSL owners on this forum. It also helps if you're a member of a car club (not necessarily a BMW one either) and have a clean license

Wow, that is cheap. I'm getting hammered on mine from Kwik Fit. Mainly because they haven't taken into account any real no claims bonus (was done while in Spain, nearly 10 years, all gone) so starting from fresh. And it's outside until I move house in a few months so probably doesn't help.

Can you change insurer during a policy? (I'm paying monthly)

Why Kwik Fit ? If you're paying monthly than it makes it easier to stop one policy and start a fresh with another

Same here  As from the beginning of December my CSL is heading indoors, SORN and into hibernation for the cold months ahead whilst I'm getting away from the UK's cold & grey season to warmer, dryer climate

Weather did indeed hold up, abit slippery in the morning but soon dried up.

Good to meet you Matt. Managed to load the in car footage onto my laptop, will put on dvd and mail at some point.

PS - got home with zero front brakes (metal to metal..grrr) - never mind, time to stick the AP's on for 2010

Hey m8. Awesome day has been had, great weather and really good to meat U . Over fifty laps in the CSL and she didn't miss a beat . Even my semi stock O.E. brakes held up exceptionally well without any fade. Having ATE Racing Blue brake fluid, Goodridge breaded brake lines and Performance Friction pads all round definitely paid off  Who needs AP Racing anyway  :hahaha: Ducking for cover. I'm glad we checked your pads when we did :hahaha: could have been worst  I'll post more pix tomorrow as I'm totally beet (not after a great day @ Brands) but by the four hour drive back home :bigcry:. M25 Dartford crossing shut due to a BIG accident, took the A2 London bound, towards Blackwell Tunnel only to get stuck in that for hours as that got shut too, due to a semi truck on fire. The joys of driving

Sorry to hear about your dodgy journey home... I decided to head to Bluewater around 8pm from Docklands for a quick bit of xmas shopping, got on to the A2 and was moving fine then BAM, traffic stopped and took me 30 mins to go one exit and turn back!! Nightmare. Sod sitting in that all the way home mate :bigcry::banghead:
But glad the day went well and sorry I could not make it in the end

M25 and A2 were killer. I gave up at Bexley what (10 miles or so in 2 and a half hours!) and left the car at with BMsport and went to the pub instead, got a taxi home at 11pm when it had cleared.

NO worries m8. There'll be another one along soon enough, no doubt.
Yeah, yesterdays SE London's traffic was just murder but great November day at Brands compensated for all that  Roll on 2010

If I knew of your most excellent traffic avoidance plans  I would have joined you, although a cab fare to Cambridge would have been hard to swallow :hahaha:
