View Full Version : My new daily $hitter
As you know, $wift brought my beautiful CSL a couple of weeks ago, been looking for a nice 997 cab since then for my daily shitter/to share with her indoors, finally settled on this beauty, pics dont do the colour justice, brilliant grey/dark blue hue, interiro is one of those Marmite ones, sand its called, I love it. Cue the hair=dresser jokes....:gayfight::thumbs:

Hazy, didn't happen to be driving past Abergavenny in South Wales last night by any chance?
Very nice but needs a proper roof and three little letters on the back. ;)

Love the 997 but Cab looks a little like a pram at the back...Well done though and enjoy, when the sun comes out that is.

Used to hate cabs, but ever since owning a 360 spider I love em, and I have really missed that roof off feeling since, aprat from the new Maser Grancabrio soft top cant think of another four seater cab supercar (and yes my kids are small!!) I can buy?? Got a car for all occasions now :supz: Wished I had the room to keep the CSL, but such is life........
RS4 is a warmed up repmobile before someone pipes up :hahaha:

The car was a "barn" find, non running car been garaged and unused for 15 years, two owners from new. It was completely rust free and the interior is like new. I stripped and built it back up myself, adding many performance bits (rear disc axle with plate LSD, coilover Bilsteins, four pot APs 230 brake race engine etc etc) I have owned it about six years in total and will never be parted from it, its nigh on irreplaceable, unlike CSl's :blalalala:
Seriously, I wouldve liked to have kept the CSL, I really would, but yes, I chose the Sunbeam over the CSL.:supz:

A 16m would have slid in nicely next to the CS :)

Love the Porsche.
The cab is the one to have too.
A 997S is an ideal progression from the CSL.

agreed, ya couldnt borrow me the odd £200k could you??? :hahaha:

Cheers mate, I dont really see it as a progression TBH, its a totally diffent car, quiter, more comfortable, more suited to everyday car status, I guess if you were looking to move up from a CSL to something similar, the Challenge Stradale would be a great step up (albeit a large step!)
THanks for the positive comments guys, if its ok with you lot I will keep posting on here, even though I have strayed from the fold:hahaha: (I do still have half a E46 M3 racecar after all;))

Of course Hazy, everyone's welcome here. Besides, you still have an M3 racer and it was mine before John bought it and I like to keep tabs on the old girl. :smokin: Make sure she's being looked after. ;)
