Agreed Shim.
I asked this the other day to the guy that details my cars. He said probably easier to wrap it in CF, but we didn't get any further.
I have a few marks on mine where a baby seat has been, and one or two where a kids feet have obviously been touching so I would definately be interested in how you would 'clean' or retouch the black plastic.

there must be a product or a company that can refurb plastic, similar to dashboard plastic i guess :smokin:

I'll ask as he definately mentioned something about it getting 'fixed' (there's a tiny crack where it folds over) and 'painted'...

Yeah, I suspect mine had a baby seat in at some stage. Two very small marks.
Autoglym Rubber and Dash Cleaner makes it less obvious, but this isn't a fix.
I also don't want to go down the chav route, so I'd be interested in refurb too!

Ive repaired a few dash boards, glove boxes etc,
Heat gently the scratched/damaged area, then iron it out till smooth. Some repairs involved a spray over, possibly full back respray..
TBH most on here get carbon window surrounds switch, carbon dash etc to match the centre console. I personally dont like it but each to their own, A seat back wrapped in carbon might look ok, dont think it would be chavvy tbh. But ive yet to see one so cant pass judgement.
I thought it would look OK until I got saw some of the weave and texture. Problem is, all the carbon has what looks like a lacquer topcoat, and all 'stick on' CF is matt finish, so it would stick out quite a bit.
Think it's more to do with the back seat plastic surrounds though, rather than the back of the front seats (although mine do have a few small marks).

Lacquer it over the top to get desired effect.

Lol, that's me also asking over on DW by resurrecting your old thread :)

Yea possibly, definately consider the seats (they should be bloody carbon anyway!)

I'll go talk to Lap Tab. I've just spent £300 quid getting some Porsche split rims done, so they should be responsive.

Me too, it was a Porsche seat, I think it was annoyed at how good the CSL is.

Carbon and resin then 2 pack clear coat would look fantastic on the back of the csl seats i never did mine as they were replaced by warranty so minted
if they had marks on them i would have done them in carbon
