Hi,

I really want to buy a CSL from UK now, but the double VAT problem is stopping me. (can't remove the 15% VAT before adding 25% VAT in Norway).

Has anyone here done a proper export of UK car, reclaiming the UK VAT?

Is it possible to sell a UK private second hand car to a VAT registered business in the UK, then they export it without the VAT, as they will receive the VAT from the state?

I have experience in Germany on this topic, but non in the UK.

dont see why you cant do it in theory bu tyour problem will be finding a s/h car that is VAT qualifying. It will have to be a car that has been owned by a busniess since purchase and i guess that there are very few of these around.

most cars privately sold wil not be VAT qualifying and even dealers cars will not be VAT qualifying unless they are as stated above owned by a business since purchase
