what are your 2010 track plans?

Well as 2009 draws to a close (for trackdays for me anyway), i am wondering what my plans will be next year......

It is income dependant as usual and my guess is i wont be doing the normal 15-20 days per year:whistle: so shall i guess first!

1. My bro is doing the Caterham Academy in 2010 so i will take my ARDS at some point ready for a race career in 2011 maybe, might try to slip in one race in 2010 if i can pluck up the courage

2. I think i will do a Circuit Days package again. At £600 for 5 trackdays it was a real bargain. Chirs at CD says next year thye will add half a dozen better circuits like Silly GP and Donny. MIght share a £1100/10 package with my brother.

3. My three goals next year on track are;

To do the new Donington Park GP circuit
To book a few days on the Silverstone GP to get to understand the corners
Arrange at least 2 Spa trips - and drag 3Wheels3 out there as well.
On a serious note i think we should all try to do the Spa with MLR in May:smt055

Well, due to the fact that i am about to move to the very darkest depths of West Cornwall, i probably wont be able to do as much track time as i have managed this year... :banghead:

But... I would like to try a few new tracks as well as my usual jaunts to the Ring (albeit less than this year too) - would probably have to plan to do a couple within a few days of each other.

Tracks i would like to try:

1. Anglesey
2. Brands GP
3. Silverstone GP
4. Croft

and would like to do again:

5. Oulton Park
6. Cadwell Park
7. Donington (if its open...!)
8. Spa (if its open...!)

-VLN Race (Deffo) at the ring - Just speaking to some teams at the mo re drives in there cars

-Donny / Cadwell / Brands in my road car
-Trying to work some things out at the mo to drive in another championship only if FOC drive available tho as money will be in CSL Cup...need to build some experience alongside what I did this year:thumbs:

I'm just doing the 2010 calendar for the BMW Car Club - as always it's race calendar dependant, but it will be similar to '09, something like this.

Feb - Oulton Park
May - Cadwell Park, day and evening 9am to 8pm.
July - Croft
August - Cadwell evening 1
August - Cadwell evening 2
September - Donington Park
October - Croft
November - Oulton Park

I'm toying with the idea of Bedford and Brands as well sometime in 2010.

Nick, have you considered the idea of organising a BMW Car Club day at Knockhill next year? You could make it a weekend or a Friday so folks could do the trackday and spend the weekend in Edinburgh to make the most of the trip. Lots of people have said they'd like to try Knockhill, but I think it would take someone like you to organise a whole trackday there :thumbs:

I think Bedford would be a very easy sell for next year.

Also, a trip to Knockhill is not a bad idea. Some nice roads and places to see on the way.

Is Donnington taking bookings for next year? Am fearing it will soon be long-term parking for East Midlands Airport.

shim i'm still at the planning stage yet, looking at calling in at the ring on the way back and maybe a half day at on one off the south of france tracks,but cos i'm taking the queen and neil taking the bur'd its more about having the crack on good roads like the gorge's of the tarn mont ventoux the valley of the ardeshe route n85 col le bonnett etc
will post somthing in the next 7-10 days
