Thought this might be of use to some of you.
Costco will be offering 20% off their Tyres at the end of October if buying 4.
Better still, if your a premiere card holder this effectively jumps to 22%.
As it stands their prices are as below. But these are likely to drop in October slightly.
Fronts
235/35/19 PS2 are £243.90
PS Cups are £290-13
Rear
265/30/19 PS2 are £325.78
PS Cups are £373.04

Yeah, they are the biggest purchaser of Michelin Tyres in the UK which is
why most local tyre places would slam the phone when I asked what other quotes I'd had.
I will also be buying CUPS depending on how horrific my finances look post honeymoon. The bugger is I also need to buy a set of wheels to stick them on as well. Gulp!:smt045
Should have stuck'em on the wedding list, like the Snap-on Impact wrench:thumbs:

Yup the best price but even so it's a lot of dough for something that last for 5 mins.

Ahh but soooo worth it! They actually last reasonably well if your car is set up running extra -camber. I always carry mine to the track as it saves wear too.

now that puzzles me tbh
road miles result in comparatively very litle wear to Cups. A new set of Cups should last over 5000 miles on the road if driven sensibly ;)
now if you have stiffer suspension and adjustable camber plates a set of cups i reckon last between 4-7 (say 5) track days (depending front or back and what track and temperatures - and most of all how much care is taken by the driver not to overheat them)
so if we generalise a little Cups wear on track say
5 x 100 miles = 500 miles / 5mm = 100 miles/mm
on road you will do say
5000/5mm = 1000 miles/mm
now as the chances are the front Cups will fail due to shoulder wear what difference does a 1000 road miles make and is i worth carting around a set of wheels damaging the inside of the car?
(just to be clear the inside of mine is shagged)

I have to disagree in my case Shim...
I have been to the Ring 4 times this year - an 1100 mile round trip for me (from Somerset) - and that's not including any track miles... My average Ring trip ends up being around 2000 miles in total by the time i get home!
Had i worn the Cup tyres, they would have been shagged a couple of months earlier than they had done...! :banghead:
If (like you) i lived centrally and conveniently close to several UK tracks then i would happily wear the Cups on road there and back to said UK tracks!
I use Curly's soft and snuggly wheel bags to protect my precious red track rims and the car interior - no problems! :gayfight:

I managed to get 6 trackdays out of my front set of cups and if i have had more front camber i think they would have lasted even more.
I have to agree with Rob, i much prefer to keep the cups for track only. The Falkens are more than good enough on the road as i drive like i'm driving Miss Daisy  most of the time.

I can get a set for £1070 fitted locally TMAQ if this Costco offer doesn't happen....

I run on cups all year now (use my car every day) road and track as ive been doing a full track day the day before the race day testing at each circuit this year so pretty much spanked 3/4 sets but with my mileage im getting 4/5k out of a set give or take , well actually looking at the weather today might look to change back road tyres as its shite... quite happy mines away at the mo and im smokin this 335d around in the rain
