Hello All!
I was hoping to get confirmation from you guys on something. When I was watching the Top Gear test of the CSL they mentioned the absence of a radio and air conditioning. Yet every CSL I have seen has had both. Some even with navigation. So did the radio and air conditioning become standard on all CSL's???
Thanks in advance for the info!
Both were always options. Not many around without air-con especially.

ahhhhh, very good! So it was an option to eliminate BOTH of those items. Good to know. Probably no way of knowing how many exist without radio AND air conditioning though is there?

Just lookout for sweaty and smelly drivers :hahaha:
Those with SatNavs are retro fitted and wasnt an option iirc :)

mine had no air con, no xenons, no radio,
Although a radio is now retrofitted and i retrofitted xenons, but it is easily put back to optionless:thumbs:

I think all the extras were zero cost additions rather than ommissions

They were matey, that way BMW can claim a very low weight for the std car. Must people added the 'no cost' optional extras like the radio/CD (including wiring loom), the xenons / washers and the AC.

Ok, so my new question would be this:
Were there any items other than air conditioning, the radio, and xenons (that's new to me) that you could omit from the vehicle? Or maybe I should ask what were all of the items you could ADD at NO CHARGE, which in turn add weight.

I'm also curious....do the no air conditioning cars have the vents or are they filled in on the dash???

Parking sensors were also an option iirc :)
