Wondering the comparision of running slicks to cups on the CSL? Anyone tested. Daz can

I have been offered Dunlops in 18 & 19". Dunlop contacted me asking if I was interested they mentioned they actually run a BMW CSL race series using the 18" wheel, so can supply:
*
18" front - £209.50 + vat per tyre
18" rear - £209.50 + vat per tyre
*
= £838 + vat per car set
*
This is a hard compound so they should have a good life span.
*
They can get 19" as well but these are only available in a medium compound so would not last as long, as this is the case they are willing to do a deal on them at £150 + vat per tyre.
*
= £600 + vat per car set.

Is this a reasonably compretative price? Thought it
seemed expensive?

Let me know if interested and I will arrange.

I think it's safe to say they are a step above Cups - just like Cups are a step above road tyres.

Bear in mind they will stress the car far more though - I've repaired a tear in my front strut tower twice now :bigcry:
