Well it took a while for me to get hold of this information - due to various Privacy law issues, I've had to go through all sorts of channels and investigations to finally confirm all the CSLs there is in NZ.

So here it is:

- 10 official imports (8 silver grey, 2 sapphire black)
- only 9 officially remain now - 1 was a driver training car owned by BMW NZ that was written off late 2007 (silver grey car with no delimit - written off by a mechanic on a joy ride/flipped 3 times)
- 5 delimited cars - all silver grey
- 2 Private imports (number 6 and number 47) - both silver grey
- All NZ new imports are numbered in the 2XX
- All have aircon
- One didn't have radio
- All were made between 23rd - 25th September 2003
- Some have Xenons, some don't

:thumbs::supz:

actually there might still be one other import that I am trying to confirm and track down ... but until then the above is the official list.

Then it will be counted as a private import... but still a CSL though..

There are also only 2 black ones in australia out of 27 officially imported... and it really shows that black one wasn't that popular then...

cheers,

richie

Oh ... what line of work if you don't mind me asking? And where abouts would you be based? Do keep me updated if you do move over here and bring the car with you - want to try and keep an as accurate register of all the cars as possible ;)

Dream on ... :blalalala:

I've seen two Black Ones in New Zealand. They were actually the first ones I ever saw on the road. Photos are not brilliant though...

Yep, those are the only 2 black ones in New Zealand. They have different plates on now.

It's been a while though. I lived in NZ in 2006. For some reason I expected to see more. Normal M3's are very common but the CSL appeared to be quite rare.

Usually hidden away by treasured owners I think ... mine hardly comes out to play to be honest - unless the weather's nice and sunny.

Like many other supercars. I was amazed to see so many exotics down there. I loved the Coromandel Peninsula.:supz:

Now now Richie, that's the information I gave you. There were 2 black ones officially imported but we made it three. I've got all the Australian data, but have been sworn to secrecy on it, sorry.
