Hi all, I was at the Ring last weekend for the Porsche Classic weekend, and obviously took the opportunity for a few, well 9 in total, laps of the Ring. I noticed a whole load of CSL's there, a few British cars and a couple of Irish, one in particular that was flying! Obviuosly his first time!!! Lol. I was managing, just, to keep up with him, although he was good to follow as I didn't have a clue where I was going at first, till he passed me, but following someone with some knowledge of the track helps in a big way!! Anyone else over there last weekend???
I was in a Speed Yellow 911 C4S.

I wouldn't be able to differentiate!! The car I was following had a white plate, with I think, 2 characters, 2 characters then 4 or 5?? With a badge to one side with "IRL" on it, silver grey car. I had more on my mind trying to chase him, he is obviously familiar with that track! Lol. I love the Porsche, but must admit, I still miss my M3!!

Guilty your honour !!,
I was over with Jason for the Black Falcon track day on the Monday and did a few laps in the afternoon on Sunday before. ( JESUS the main straight is bumpy at 165!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If the car you were following was ''quite quick'', it was possible me.. however if the car you were following was ''mentally-stupidly quick'' then it was probably Jason.

I did an RMA day last year, that one track day ruined TF for me, it was awesome, no stoppages, overtaking either side, no worries about insurance and I did 22 laps in one day whilst taking it easy, guy I was with did 27. Love the main straight too.

Hi Mole, I remember seeing you over there. I passed you at one point, you weren't going that slowly though!!
How did you enjoy it? Is your car standard?

Saw you as well mole, you looked to be going pretty well yourself
Did hang about on Sunday evening to come and say hello Steve but you were out lap after lap and I had to shoot off.
Jim, had a really good weekend, forgot how good the ring was as haven't been for a couple of years. Only managed 2 busy/foggy laps on Saturday due to the late opening/fog but did 6 on Sunday and loved every one. Seems to have gone up a few € a lap, plus the dodgy exchange rate made it quite dear per lap compared to previous visits. Car is standard!

No worries - my power steering pipe blew anyway, luckily in the car park but I had to go collect my trailer and get the marshalls to put sand over the oil in the car park. See you next time!
